Just heard dialogue from Sam I've never heard before.

 

Traynor: Commander, I just got word. We lost Elysium to reaper forces. Whoever was on Grissom is dead now.

 

I've heard Sam talk about Grissom before when I don't do the mission but this dialogue was mentioned after I did a couple of misssions after the coup attempt.

I just finished doing a playthrough not talking with anyone in the game, even Samantha. I talked with her during the goodbye scene and this is the dialogue I got.

 

Shepard: Specialist Traynor...

Specialist Traynor: Its all right, Commander. It's a little late to request a transfer now.

 

This is the response if the top right dialogue is chosen

Shepard: You're a credit to your uniform, Samantha

Traynor: I had a very compelling example

 

This is the response if the bottom right dialogue is chosen

Shepard: Stay sharp and get the job done. Take back Earth.

Traynor: Roger that, Commander (with a salute)

Everyone knows that playing as maleshep, he can only play chess with Samantha whereas femshep can choose a shower  or play chess. In DAI, AWR, who is the British voice for femquisitor, gets the opportunity to play chess in the game, if the player chooses.

Also it has been confirmed that Jennifer Hale will add her voice to DAI. Dragon_Claw, a fellow poster, on deviantart wrote this in reference to the shower scene in ME3

Additional voice: "Inguisitor, what brings you to my hut?"
FemQuisitor: "I came by to bathe in your nearby waterfall. The lake at my village is filled with crap water by the way."

This a quote from Steve's writer, Dusty Everman, that explains why Samantha, and even Joker, didn't get any dialogue in the Leviathan dlc. The quote is from 2 years ago shortly after the dlc was released

 

It's costly to bring in a voice actor for just a couple lines.  A session is a session, so you are basically paying for 150 lines even if you just record a couple.  That's why we can't just throw in lines willy-nilly on the Normandy.  Since Cortez was part of the main missions, we were able to add some Normandy banter  lines too, but Traynor wasn't, so we couldn't "sneak" in any Normandy lines for her.  That's also why you don't get more Joker lines.  Seth Green is more famous, and thus earns a higher salary.

AWR will be getting a lot of attention during and after the release of the game. On a few of the threads in the DAI section, some folks mention they like her voice in ME3 as Samantha and will use it for their Inquisitor. Of course some won't becasue their Inquisitor will sound too much like Samantha.

Well, I broke down and decided to get DAI. I am not really a fan of the DA series. The interface has been way too clunky for my taste and the combat system awkward. But after watching some of Christopher Odd's playthrough I decided to give it a go since I am pretty much played out on ME. Haven't gotten very far: 2 and 1/2 hours and I only now have reached the Temple. Haven't even fought the boss fight yet.

 

Nevertheless, it is so cool having AWR as the voice of my inquisitor (female, human, mage). Traynor may have thought EDI's voice was sexy (and it's true, Tricia Helfer has a very nice voice) but nothing beats AWR. I'm a sucker for a British accent, I guess. Plus she's a great actor. Hopefully her voice acting will compensate for my awful game play.

 

Note to Von Uber: if you eyes bleed over some "poor" clothing textures in ME2/3, (with which I have no problem) your head would pop right off seeing the poor quality graphics on the 360 version of DAI.
