It's something that would have to be approached carefully, and with all due respect to James. (My Samancer probably wouldn't ask James, by the way. I think she'd be much more inclined to ask either Kaiden or Cortez.)

Also, not all men are happy to give away their own children like that. So Sam and Shep would have to be willing to accept a "no". I personally think that would be James's answer (for a variety of reasons that I will go into if asked, but won't at this point since this is not a thread about James). If he did say "yes", there are other things to take into consideration, such as the right of James to have access to his biological child, and what sort of red tape would be involved.

Having said all that... We're not talking about 2012 Earth here. They're already pretty close to being able to create childeren from two ova now, what's to say that they haven't cracked that nut by the time of ME3 (moral/ethical issues aside)? James's contribution may not be necessary.

This is definitely not something that would happen between Sam and Shep meeting and the end of ME3.

Horizon, Samantha's birthplace.  She said that she's not fond of Vancouver, but she mentioned Paris & Venice.  I wouldn't mind living there either, but it'd be hard to have a house, dog, and white picket fence in Venice for obvious reasons.

I'm sure that with the advanced genetic technology available in the Mass Effect universe (à la Miranda) there's little to no need for James to submit any "baby-making material."  That ending bit also sounds awkwardly suggestive....

David after Admiral Anderson and Ashley if Ashley was sacrificed on Virmire.  If Ash wasn't sacrificed, then I'll go with Stéphanie to be named after her mummy (my Shepard's name).

God, Thessia. If there's one moment in the game that really brought mixed feelings from me was that mission. I hated how after discovering the Prothean beacon that everyone decided to bad mouth the Asari for keeping this technology a secret. First thing I thought was, WHO CARES?! We've got Reapers destroying Asari by the thousands and you want to complain about this? How many other species have secrets that they're keeping from others, humanity included? And Joker, saying that stupid offensive joke about the Asari that he actually tried to defend.

Ugh, sorry for going off topic. I'm just glad Samantha was the productive one after that mission.

Hehe, I had a serious WTF! moment after the destruction of Thessia.
It's like, first they make Kaidan bi and not Ashley, then Samantha is the only LI, not counting the fling with Allers, who gets locked away on the ship and doesn't get a nice little moment on the Citadel and then they obliterate almost the whole all-female Asari race.
If I wouldn't keep the cynic in me locked up so tightly, I was inclined to point out the obvious hint of discrimination against lesbians in all of that, coincidental or not

I've got to admit, Olive. I laughed at the end of your post. You had "angry rant, angry rant, angry rant, but here's some Sam to make it all better." Sam makes everything better.

It was a shame what happened to Thessia, but I wouldn't consider it discrimination against lesbians. I actually don't even consider Asari to be female. To me, the words "male" and "female" serve to make the distinction between sexes of a species. However, the Asari require no such distinction. They resemble females to us, but I just consider them Asari.

well, it really was meant more as tongue-in-cheek than an angry rant and not all that serious
Regardless of how you see the Asari and describe them in their own biological nature, fact is and most of the criticism centers around it, that their appearance is very female and Liara calls her mother the most beautiful woman, she has ever seen and not the most beautiful Asari, she has ever seen. So hairsplitting over the biology aside, at least in the way they are pereived, they are an all-female race.

Happy to see a Traynor thread here. One of the best new characters in ME!

Does anyone know of where I can see vids of Femshep and Traynor chatting? I've seen the initial interview, the romance scene and goodbye. But there seems to be a conversation that happens at Traynor's station in which both shep and Traynor are leaning against the console?

I've done two playthroughs and am taking a breather before starting another one. This time considering fresh from ME3 and not importing a character.

Samatha just saw the endings for ME 3 ... she is not pleased.. she does not know what think... she likes   Joker but  the implications... problematic.

anyways i think she is cute, but very busy-type of girl, explaining the lack of a Citadel scene, though i would like to have bought her that chess set instead of her getting it herself. (do not forget that Liara has that VI to help her out)

Actually, that's an interesting point.

She clearly made it to the Citadel at some point during the playthrough, or else she couldn't have bought that GUI Chess set. We just didn't see her there. *pouts*
