In ME1 think my character talked to Liara twice and then they were in bed somehow. At least with Traynor it felt more gradual and you see her all the time...probably more than any other person, excluding the doctor. And then there is off camera socializing which you can probably safely assume they do whenever there is any time for that.

if Garrus Vakarian dies in ME2, then Samantha is the one to talk Shepard into getting some sleep, andchecks out her arse in the process.

There is no justice in this universe. First to romance Sam you have to miss the chess convo...and then to have a scene that adds to the romance you have to kill Garrus? What the frak?draken-heart wrote...

*Katelynn Shepard walks around deck 3 humming*
Liara: Shepard, what has you so happy today
Shepard: hmm? oh, nothing
L: Its Samantha, isn't it?
*Smanantha walks in on the conversation*
Samantha: what's me?
L: Just the reason Shepard is walking around the Ship looking like a human schoolgirl whose crush returned her-
*Liara notices Shepard and Samantha blushing, looking really nervous*
L: You two are involved with each other, aren't you?
Shep&Sam (in unison): WE ARE NOT!!!!
L: Really? well, anyways i have to get back to work.
*a few minutes later, in Shepard's cabin*
Shep: This is bad, this is so, so bad
Sam: Get a hold of yourself dear, so Liara knows about us
Shep: you do not understand, on the old normandy and when i worked with Cerberus, i always kept my sexuality a secret, out of fear of losing the respect of the crew, if this gets out, i-
Sam: Shepard, listen to me. No matter what happens, we'll get through it, together.
Shep: I hope so.
*Shepard and Samantha share a loving, chaste kiss*

anyways, anyone think that Liara would use her knowledg of fem!Shepard/Samantha romance if you had the option to avoid a personal request from her? (you know if she had a personal quest or asks you to help with something other than the time capsule thingy)

I really liked her character, thought she was better then Kelly. I especially loved her accent. Her romance with femshep I think is great too, I thought even sitting down and playing chess with her as femshep and maleshep was great too.
Indeed. Sam's every bit as friendly as Kelly, yet she's more charming and I might even say sophisticated than Kelly. Apart from the rushed feeling of her romance, it seems like Sam's interest in FemShep is earnest. On the flipside, I thought Sam was a playful "bro" to MaleShep. I felt neither of these things about Kelly.
Oh, as an American, I think female British accents are totally hot, too.

You get the Grissom Academy mission after talking to her, wonderful convo. And I got a little mail from her on my iPod Touch about the upcoming meeting with the Turians, Krogans and Salarians
Traynor: I'm making preparations for the Normandy, to serve as our summit conference center. Good luck, Commander"
She is such a sweetheart =) (hope there are more great mails from her, but don't tell me, I like the surprise)

She was definitely better than Kelly. Almost every conversation I had with Kelly felt like two 15 year old girls talking about their boyfriends and algrbra tests. It wasn't a mature romance. I wouldn't even really call it a romance. Samantha is a completely different kind of woman and her company would have been most welcome even if she hadn't been available to my femshep as a LI. It made me really think long and hard about staying true to Liara.
It's sad to see she isn't so popular. I wonder why that is.

she is better than Kelly. as for why she is not very popular, i think it is because she is a new character for ME3 and not a lot of people like her for not having time to get to know her.

It's a shame that a lot of people miss out on the dialogue between her and Femshep when she's the LI. Both Jennifer Hale and Alix Wilton Reagan did fantastic jobs. Their interactions are smooth and never forced.
Here's the video of the final scene between the two (spoiler, obviously).

I would assume it is because of how rushed her romance is. If you want to get involved with her, you miss out on the first major character building scene and skip right into a silly shower scene. Her character development only really starts after you are in a romance with her, so unless you are after a lesbian romance and know she is the only option in game, I can't see a reason why you would go for her.JosieRevisited wrote...

So yeah in part I would say that she is a new character, suffers a lack of development in contrast to other new characters, and the fact that the M/M demographic is /way/ bigger than the F/F one...Bleh. I wouldn't be so annoyed about it if Sam did not feel so truncated and pandering.

Fun fact for any Smugglers in The Old Republic MMO: It looks like Alix auditioned to play the companion character Risha.

I wish she had done the voice for the Smuggler. She's a good voice actress and hearing Lil DeVille from the Rugrats all the time is a little unsettling.

D'aaawwwww. I love it. Anybody good with Gibbed? Maybe the variables could be edited so she shows up even if Garrus is alive? Don't know if that's possible.
I love her voice. Sooo much.
