I love that interview =) so happy to hear that how he pictured the Traynor-romance is pretty much how I felt it played out when romancing her. This wonderful happy woman, who get's stationed on Normandy and slowly get's used to living on a warship.

Jupp, Traynor is my happy-place on the Normandy. Currently romancing Liara but I know that I will romance her again.

@ Flyers I agree, it is so much fun to see how much they care about the people that they are writing. They really put heart and soul into it.

Also, I should figure out how to change my name w/o giving up the creation date (which was actually long before these forums existed - I think I made this name on the very first NWN forums, before I had my current handle starting in 2005).

Seriously...  a woman with a British accent can read the phone book and I'll think it's sexy.  I was stationed in Iraq w/ some Brits and I'd just sit out and talk to these two British girls for HOURS.  It was 130 degrees and I did not care. 

Lucky Dog, just the sound of an authentic accent (not the rosetta stone stuff) just does it for me.

Ever seen Bend It Like Beckham?  Two reasons to watch it...  1.) BRITISH GIRLS!  2.) Parminder Nagra (the girl I think Traynor might've been based on), and Keira Knightly, who needs to eat some cheeseburgers.

Also, blame my GF for my love of Love Actually.  The Prime Minister's secretary is DEE-LISH.  omnomnomnom

sam stands in the dining room of her house with the white picket fence  looking out towards the pacific ocean on Vancouver Island. She sees the twins in their sunday best walk in the room and she smiles at them. She looks back outside at the grave and statue of her beloved Lisa. For this is the 10th anniversary of her death. She grabs both children in each hand and walks out the backdoor. It becomes very quiet as she looks up and sees alliance solders as well as the Normandy crew are lined up in front of each other making a path towards the grave. She looks to her left and sees countlees people that came to pay their respects all silent. As she walks in her black vail and black dress ttowards the grave she starts crying. When she gets there LIsa and Sam place  flowers at the headstone in rememberance of their mother  and take a few steps back as their other mother SAm activates a holographic.
shep:hello sam my love, am sorry I can't be there with you. I miss you. In the short time we were with each other we shared a lifetime of memories. The first time I saw you I fell in love especially with that accent it was hard to resist Around you i felt like a woman and not just a soldier. Not only were you my lover but a friend that I could confide in.
You made me laugh and you were ther e when i needed a shoulder to cry on. Well its time for me to go. Give the girls a hug and kiss for me which am sure  you named after us. Remember am always with you through our chidren. I look forward to the day I can be in your arms again until that time be strong Sam. I love you.
Sam looks back at her girls who both have sams thick dark hair and  mouth but have lisa's eyes and nose. Sam wiped the tears away, grab the girls hands and walked back to the house.

You get two missions from Sam, Grissom-academy and the one saving Cerberus scientists along with Jacob Taylor if he is alive on you PT. Just like the little exchange you have with Traynor coming back on the ship after saving the scientists.

Shepard: First Grissom Academy, now this. Nice Work.
Traynor: You know how fighter pilots put those little stamp things under their cockpits for each kill? I'm thinking of getting one by the galaxy map every time I analyze the crap out of some data.

Ha ha =) living on the warship is starting to rub off on her.

Dunno if you caught the discussion on page 20 about this exchange, but if FemShep is romancing Sam, there's an extra tidbit to the end of that conversation (posted below for your convenience.  And more good times with Sam.  Still one of the most memorable conversations in the game).

I love and hate Traynor at the same time.

I love her because of how well and fleshed out her character is.

I hate her because this was the kind of character development Kelly Chambers was denied.

For me personally, even if Kelly had been more developed, I wouldn't like her nearly as much as Traynor. 

Part of it has to do w/ the accent, but mostly it's personality.  I could see myself hanging out with Traynor IRL and having a great time.  With Kelly, I just imagine having to rescue her over and over or listening to her talk about her feelings ad infinitem because she's... well, Kelly.

That would make even less sense than the existing ending does now.  And that takes some doing.

EDIT:
I should clarify that I meant no offense.  Just that her (or any LI) being there would make less sense from a story POV than the Starbrat does now.  HOW did the LI get there?  Why?  It would add even more WTF to the already WTF filled last ten minutes.

I'm kinda glad it's the Starbrat... that way I can feel free to hate the little bastard. 
I'd feel bad about hating Traynor, even if it was a hallucination or whatever.

Speaking of Sam, who do you guys think Sam would get along with the most out of the squaddies of ME2? Not including Garrus and Tali because they were in ME3 otherwise I could see Ms Traynor totally geeking it out with Tali.

I think she'd love Tali, shy away from Grunt/Thane/Samara, not like Miranda very much, laugh with Mordin and make him sing more, get along with Jacob, give bad looks to Zaeed when he wasn't looking, play chess with Kasumi (and lose because Kasumi would probably cheat).  I think that's all of them lol

Oh wow I agree with everything you said! I can really imagine her trying to avoid passing Grunt in the Normandy's halls, making up little excuses and all that jazz. For some reason I would really like to see a whole Miranda vs Samantha thing going on, not for Shepard exactly but just in general. Despite my love for Miranda I really do think Sam could hold out against the Ice Queen!
I generally think everyone gets on with Jacob, like seriously nobody ever has a bad word to say about him. Well...Apart from the fans but they don't count! Heheh, her and Kasumi playing chess would just be awesome to watch. I imagine Kasumi wouldn't even break a sweat, just because she's ever cool like that.

Traynor: yes, yes we are
Legion: your species evolved into two biological sexes so your people can procreate. Why are two women Sexually involved with each other?
Traynor: well, legion, to answer your question, science has developed to a point where two women, like Shepard and I, or two men like Lt. Cortez can be together and not need the opposite gender to have children.

I don't see how you could not get along with Jacob.  He's just a cool dude.  He's the kind of guy that's not your best friend, but you'd wave to at a party or on the street.  I like him.  I was sad to see him go in ME3.

I have no idea how she'd get along with Kaiden since I've never talked to him before.  I usually forget that he exists, actually.

I don't think Ashley's a homophobe, but it's possible.  People who are prejudice against one thing tend to be prejudice against other things.

I play multi-player a little.  I haven't played in a while since I've been playing ME2, but I finished that last night (clocked in at 56 hours and 46 minutes).  I'll be playing ME3 again starting Thursday evening.  I play on PS3, though.

I think this would confuse Legion more than that.  Being a geth, he may not understand things being away from the norm.  Machines see things in very black and white views.  Legion may not be able to come to a consensus about that
