I really like Liara, her romance is easily my favourite. I did really like Traynor but she isn't a squadmate and she is only in one game so she's at a disadvantage.

I like Liara, but I liked her better in ME1 when she wasn't so... intense... as she is now. Back in ME1 she was socially a bit awkward, easily flustered and just generally adorkable. Just as Samantha is in ME3 and that's what makes me like our new Communication Specialist. That and her accent, of course. And the fact that she isn't just there to notify you of any new messages; she actually plays a pretty crucial role just before the endgame and I think it's safe to say the students of Grissom Academy owe their lives to her, at least partly. 

Anyway, in my current playthrough I'm romancing Liara and in the next it will be Garrus' turn, just because I want to know what their romance arcs are like. A part of me still wants me to break up with them and go for Samantha, though. I just love her too much!

Yeah I think Traynor does pick up the adorkable role that Liara left behind as she became more confident. I love how Traynor is crap at taking a compliment and how she started rambling when she first met Shep. But she got more confident as she got to know Shepard, even to the point of teasing her which I liked.

She definitely gets more confident as the game progresses, yeah. For example, I just played chess with her. Now, if you aren't locked in a romance with anyone you can either offer her the use of your shower or make a (bit snide) comment about chess. I was already locked in a romance with Liara, however, and this time choosing the paragon option resulted in an impressive bluff from Traynor. She would not have done that in the beginning of the game.

There wasn't as much room for character development as there was in the previous games, but I think they handled Traynor's character quite well. Friend or lover; Samantha is great.

as Lisa steps out of the shuttle, she sees chairs and table with food and a red rose.And of course a bottle of wine. Further on down she sees two more chairs.
shep(looking at sam with a smile) How did you do this?
sam; Lisa, I am a very resourceful woman. Hold my hand Lisa and take in the view. Just relax. (kisses lisa on her cheek)

shep:now that was a good meal. To bad we can't do this more often Sam.
sam: Who says we can't?(raising one eyebrow)
shep: but we won't be(at that point sam raises her hand to stop lisa)
sam: Now its time for my question lisa. A while back you told me that you were thinking of retiring to Vancouver, maybe living near the Pacific Ocean. (at that point lisa realized what sam was about to ask) I was wondering if you like some company.(sam gets down on one knee with a small box in her hand. lisa's eyes filled with tears) I love you Lisa. Will you marry me?
shep:(shaking and crying) Yes. Yes I will marry you. (her hand shaking while sam slides the ring on her finger)
sam:Thank you. Now I will let you beat me at chess (kissing lisa )


several minutes later lisa and sam holding hands while drinking wine
shep:(looking at the ring) So, is this what it  will take to beat you at chess?
sam:I had other questions?(laughing) But this one seemed more important.
shep: What questions?
sam: NOthing that I won't find out over time But enough of that. Lets head back to the cabin where I can  make love to my future wife
shep: You don't have to tell me twice.

IIf you're playing as a male its a no go. As femshep, when sam talks about the shower, pick the top right answer and then sam will be in the shower where you will have the option of joying her or not

Also its possible you might be locked in another relationship

^=) you are great mike. now if Samantha ended up teleporting into the world of Fallout (a bethesda game) which faction would she feel most comfortable in? given all the facts about her, i will say the followers of the apocalypse, who are doctors.

What a sad trip out of town.  I try to bring my PS3 with me wherever I go.  Sometimes you just have to stop, smell the flowers, and fight Reapers for the good of the galaxy.

I just wanted to agree with so many of you that the Samantha Traynor romance in ME3 is by far the best romance in the game.

In my first play through of ME3 I romanced Kaidan… Wow what a mistake, it just felt so force from the get go… yea there was tension but there was never really any resolution to their fights of disagreements and it never really felt like Kaidan had any idea what was going on with your character.

Samantha on the other hand seems to really get your character, and understand what she was going through. It felt like a real relationship, a fast one, but given the war going on a real one.
Two thumbs up for the Samantha Traynor Romance BioWare, can’t wait to see if they add in any more content for Samantha in the Extended Cut

I do know that Sam's VA (Alix Wilton Regan) was in the studio doing some voice work about three weeks ago.  I have no idea if it was for ME3 DLC or another game entirely, but she didn't deny it was for ME3.  I know for a fact that Shep's VA has been back in the studio for ME3 DLC, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed on it.
