sam: Its hard to beleive that 2 weeks ago was our 50th wedding anniversary.
shep: Whats the saying sam? Time flys when you're having fun. Whats that in your hand?
sam:this is a list made by our oldest daughter of all the accomplishments you and I have done
shep:really. Let me see.(looks it over)thats alot of things we have done.
sam:we have 15 daughters who gave us 63 grandchildren who so far have given us 31 great-grandchildren.We also have written 9 books between us, been made parents of the year 7 yrs in a row. We started with a house at 4200 sq feet, and now its at 12000 sq feet. There is more but those are the high points.
shep: sam, that was your idea for having 15 kids. Remember I carried 10 of them, and the last 3 were triplets
sam:(laughing) still, you would not change it for a moment
shep( very true(smiling)
sam:Don't forget grandma that its our grandsons birthday tomorrow. Everyone will be here early to help get thiings ready.
shep: ok. Lets just enjoy the sunset for now
sam: Before we go back inside, I bought a new chessboard, since the other one is over 50 yrs old. Maybe the new one will give you a better chance of winning
shep(laughing loudly) you really think that will help me.
sam puts her arm around lisas shoulders as they walk back to the house.

I just wanted to agree with so many of you that the Samantha Traynor romance in ME3 is by far the best romance in the game.
In my first play through of ME3 I romanced Kaidan… Wow what a mistake, it just felt so force from the get go… yea there was tension but there was never really any resolution to their fights of disagreements and it never really felt like Kaidan had any idea what was going on with your character.
Samantha on the other hand seems to really get your character, and understand what she was going through. It felt like a real relationship, a fast one, but given the war going on a real one.
Two thumbs up for the Samantha Traynor Romance BioWare, can’t wait to see if they add in any more content for Samantha in the Extended Cut
I do know that Sam's VA (Alix Wilton Regan) was in the studio doing some voice work about three weeks ago. I have no idea if it was for ME3 DLC or another game entirely, but she didn't deny it was for ME3. I know for a fact that Shep's VA has been back in the studio for ME3 DLC, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed on it.
That is a relief. I can't enough of Sam's / Alix's voice. She could read the dictionary to me and I would be perfectly content with life.
(Still enjoying Sam's message alerts on my Galaxy Tab. I downloaded two of her audio files to notify me of e-mails and Facebook posts. I had my roommates fooled for a few days - they thought I had a next-gen version of a Siri-like program.)

Me and my mam have competing text tones, she has Kelly (which she nicked from me back when ME2 was out) but now I've upgraded to Traynor.
I've been replaying Dragon Age 2 and I've noticed Traynor's voice a few times. None of her DA2 characters are as cool as Ser Cauthrien but its still nice to hear her voice.
I hope we do get some extra Traynor banter in the dlc.

It could indeed be for ME3 (EC?). The timing fits with other ME3 voice actors recording:o:o
But yeah, it would be great if she returned in the Extended Cut. I think it would be logical, given the fact that she is a full-fledged love interest, but you can never be too sure.

Shortly After the Defeat on Thessia
The anger in the room was palpable, and for a second Samantha questioned whether she should have come up to the Commanders Cabin at all. Shepard had order she be left alone until they were within an hour of Horizon.
Joker had tried to comfort the Commander after the defeat at Thessia... in his own way. But Samantha
could tell by the hash blank stare in Shepard's eyes, as she passed by her communications station for the elevator, that it hadn't worked.
Anderson had sent her a message along with Joker requesting that they each look after Shepard. He knew the events on Thessia were going to way heavily on Shepard and that she was going need someone to catch her when the iron wall she had erected to keep back all that emotion came crashing down.
"Commander..." Samantha started "I know you asked to be alone." Eagerly looking for Shepard to show some sign of approval of her coming up to the cabin. But none came. The words just hung in the air, but Samantha continued, "I just wanted to say... I'm here for you. Whatever you need, I'm here." She started to turn around and head back to the elevator just outside the Commanders cabin.
"Samantha, wait." the sound of Shepard's voice cut straight through Samantha's heart. Tears started to well up within Samantha, she could tell just by those two words the Commander needed her as desperately as
she also needed Shepard.

I also read her tweets in Sam's voice. Her actual voice is slightly different. She's currently in Thailand or something working on a movie. I know she was in the running to do the VO work for the new Tomb Raider, but not sure if she got that or not. I saw some of the footage of the game at E3, and they've got some audio already recorded. I'm not sure if it's just for a place holder or what. I'll have to track down the story on that to figure out what's what.Rikketik wrote...

According to the Tomb Raider Wikipedia page, E3 saw the announcement that a voice actress has been cast for Lara's role but not confirmed on who is actually playing the role. I'd love to see Alix get the spot. She did a wonderful job with Sam's voice acting and captured the emotion of the conversations very well. Tomb Raider also looks like an excellent game; it's the one I'm most excited for in 2013 other than Command & Conquer: Generals 2 (also made by BioWare

twi323 I have more dialog coming soon. good piece about sam & femshep after Thessia
One thing about that Thessia mission that bothered me is that femshep comforts blue girl, but no comforts femshep. My femshep wanted to be comforted by her sam. Bioware dropped the ball on that one

There was a tweet earlier that kind of hinted she didn't get the part of Lara Croft. I went ahead and asked her directly, so we'll see what she says. I'm hoping she got it. If she didn't, I'm not buying the gorram thing and that's that.

Very nice. That defeat on Thessia was a moment in the game that was very emotionally charged for me. Good work on that little piece.
Thanks Flyers! and Mike!
I hope to write some more and can't wait to see where Bioware takes the game.

I hear you Mike.
The joker sense after Thessia was great in showing just how hard the defeat was affecting Shepard, but little comfort. Garrus did a great job talking to BroShepard, but I don’t think that was the peep talk Shepard truly needed at that time.
She needed someone to hug her, and tell her that it was going to be ok… even if neither of them believed it. Someone needed to give Shepard hope… Just seems like a missed opportunity of turning a great sequence on Thessia into a lasting spring board for the final fight.

I've just noticed, most people commenting here refer to Traynor by her first name but I don't really think of her as Samantha, she's Traynor to me. I think its probably because Shepard calls her Traynor or Specialist for the majority of the game. It was only on my second playthrough that I realised she did tell Shepard her first name when she introduced herself, I missed it in my first playthrough and didn't find out her name until the "game night" email.

It seemed kind of odd to me that after Thessia angry Shepard manages to perk up a bit to flirt with Traynor and then goes to shout at joker. Don't get me wrong I like Traynor and Shepard's flirty banter but it felt a little out of place there and a scene with Traynor trying to comfort Shepard would have made a lot more sense. Oh well Traynor did save the day so I suppose Shepard's gonna be in a better mood with her than with Joker and his racist joke.
...
I completely agree.

What characters does she voice in DA2? I'm thinking about doing a DA2 playthrough again. Yes, I am one of those who enjoyed DA2. (Speaking of voice actresses, Lady Hawke's VA is the other one who makes me melt.)

I like LadyHawke's voice too, especially when using the sarcastic dialogue. I thought it was nifty she was in ME3 if only briefly. Now they just need to get Eve Myles to do a voice for some dlc.

Just a few minor characters. One was a city guard Hawke meets on the wounded coast. I forget her name but Hawke helps her and the other guards fight a bandit group (or not if you decide to just bugger off and not help). She also plays the sister of a Templar recruit that's gone missing, she sends you to go talk to some other Templar recruits and strangely she voices one of them too.

Jo Wyatt did femhawke.
also voiced Dr. Cole
MugenJustice as far as I know, AWR has no va in DA2

alenko:Shepard. Commander.
shep. Yes, what is it?
alenko:You have been standing at this spot for 2 hours. I was wondering if things are ok.
shep:(smiling ear to ear) Why wouldn't they be?
alenko:This is the first time I've seen you smile like that. Something I should know? And whats wrong with your finger? You're rubbing it like it hurts.
shep: You mean this(showing the large diamond ring)
alenko:Wow.(eyes ready to burst) Who is the lucky person?
shep: Right over there. Officer Samantha Traynor. She asked me to marry her last night.
alenko:What? Another woman?
shep:Is that a problem Major Alenko? Are you jealous?
alenko:neither. You just caught me off guard.
shep:Several reasons I said yes.She strips me of my armour, and lets me be just a woman, not a soldier all the time. We talk for hours like 2 little school girls. But my favorites are, she makes my toes curl and when I have nightmares, she sings me a lullaby to calm me down. There are other things as well.
alenko:What about the reaper war?
shep:What about it? Looking at Traynor gives me more of a reason to destroy the reapers. With Traynor, I have a future that I thought I would never have. and that means alot to me
alenko:That sounds nice.
shep:You don't sound to convinced? Remind again, why I kept you on the Normandy? Face it. Am with another woman.
alenko: Fine, fine. I get it. Sorry.
shep: Now, if you excuse me, I have a dinner date with my future wife in the cabin
