*back  in Shepard and Sam's cabin (sam moved in with Shepard) on the Normandy*
Shepard: You did not need to be so hard on her....
Sam: oh, didn't I? in case you didn't know, She cheated on me....
Shepard: i know.
Sam: With my best friend.
Shepard: oh, i see
Sam: now you get it, i lost my girlfriend to my best friend. Now i thought i lost the will to love, until i met you.
Shepard: Thanks, i love you to Sammie
*They passionatly kiss as Sam falls onto the bed, taking Shepard with her*

as per the ?, i would like to know what Your Shep does pre-romance to show that she has a secret (or not-so-secret) crush on Sam.

Samantha Traynor woke up earlier than expected, the engagement ring Katelynn Shepard proposed to her with still on her finger. She is waking up earlier because She wanted to throw Shepard a surprise engagement party and since Shepard was drugged to sleep later than normal did not want Shepard to wake up.

She made it to the lounge on Deck 3 of the normandy to find Vega and the other ground forces already there.

"so is everything ready, Vega?" Traynor asked.

"all according to plan, Checkmate." Vega reported, Saluting the commander's fiance

Everything was going to plan. They were prepared Shortly before Shepard woke up earlier than expected. Katelynn walked in on them pleasantly surprised at what she saw.

"What is this for?" Shepard asked her fiance Sam.

"Oh this?" Traynor said " this is for our engagement"

"you did not have to..." Shepard said

"i know" Traynor said kissing her beloved on the lips.

Shepard smiled and said "Lets get this party started"

The party lasted for hours. in the end Shepard and Traynor went to bed happy to be together.

FemShep would probably check out Traynor in the CIC.  After all, Sam does that to Shepard in the War Room; it's only fair game that FemShep returns the favor as she stands at the galaxy map.

^I agree MugenJustice it just sucks to get that, you have to have Garrus die in me2. Am just wondering when after sam briefs femshep of the upgrades , is femshep checking out sam? Now I know maleshep looks but not as long as femshep. I might be reaching on that one.

I think I'm going to have to agree with Valorefane once more. Some nice writing and good ideas... but i'm not sure they fit given the global context of what is happening.

I think from the last two conversations between Samantha and Shepard we can tell a few things:

1) They truly do care for one another
2) They want the relationship to last and move to the next level, but after the war.

I get two from the last conversation we have between them. That is the kind of stuff you talk about before you purpose to someone, not after. And it truly seemed like the first time they had talked about a life together outside the hell they are living in.

Do I think they will end up getting married? Sure... well at lest in my own head cannon for the ending.

Just my thoughts.

Naomi Shepard, a fiery Renegade red head , Romanced Kaidan in ME1, Kelly in ME2 and soon as she's in ME3, she'll be with Sam ... She can comfort Femshep when she shoots Kaidan dead on the Citadel lol.

since EC will not change the ending, how about(and hopefully) change liara's face and put sams face as femshep picks red,green or blue.

yeah the EC is the reason i thought of forgetting Sam and going for Kelly, since the ending will not be changed, Shepard would have no way of finding Sam and getting back with her....*is sad*

I choose not to accept the current ending. I could live with it being a grim ending, its the plot holes I can't deal with. Mass Effect always had a clichéd plot so I don't know why they were trying to be clever right at the very end. The end didn't fit with the tone of the other games.

But I also headcanon the shower scene different now. If a scene doesn't work just remember it differently.

I hate to repeat myself, but...

EC won't change the current ending because we haven't SEEN the current ending.  Bioware has never been this gorram sloppy with their writing EVER and I refuse to believe they have now.  They've got something in the works (and have had since before they shipped the game) for the ending - the REAL ending.

I can't say that I have much faith in the EC. When I first heard about the indoctrination theory I liked it because it sorted all the plot holes and I thought it was a pretty cool stunt. But that would have only really worked if they'd brought out the EC earlier. Its a pretty crappy idea to release a game with a fake ending then bring out the "real ending" months later once everyone has had plenty of time to slate the game. I just think the game was rushed and they buggered up the end, but hey I'd love to be wrong and be pleasantly surprised by the EC.
