But EDI needed to be on standby for that hug with (in most cases) Shepard's LI.

I think Joker would've been a good, neutral choice. Makes the hug with EDI even more touching, too.

Great scenario, Flyers215. I like how you handled Shep's internalization and the moment between her and Samantha was sweet. I think your story also leads up to the moment in-game when Samantha muses about finally seeing a woman underneath all that armor after Shepard's last nightmare.

Thank you.  I was keeping that upcoming conversation in mind while writing it.  I also thought about leading into the conversation between Shepard and the crew about "kicking Cerberus in the balls," but I feel like Valerie would've been a little upset that Sam hadn't said something beforehand.

^ THIS. Seriously. The gift shop at the stupid Citadel hospital has a slew of useless crap, a book of poetry for Ash and booze for Kaidan. In Dragon Age, you practically run a singing telegram service with the amount of crap you can dump on people to buy their affection. Surely Future People are bought just as easily, and Sam sets it up handily by telling you the price of her fancy toothbrush and everything! Or buy Steve a little ship model of a Trident!

This pic is awesome but did anybody notice Femshep... knocked out cold sleeping like a baby in the back ground.  

I had to look at the piece twice to catch it because  the artist did a great job of making Sam and the fish the  main focus.

^Yup, I thought the artist did an excellent job at depicting the intimacy of the scene: everything from what Sam is wearing to FemShep sleeping (I'm guessing naked) in the background. One of my favorite pieces of fan art for Sam.

Indeed.  I thought hers and Garrus' were the best.  Somehow Traynor was able to display more range of emotions than the other LIs at the memorial wall.

I agree even when she is not the Li not sure of Garrus since I never had him for Li.Since ec has been out and seeing sam smile I've done 4 more playthroughs. I just have a soft spot for sam

Interestingly enough, I've started working on one!  I haven't got the full plot nailed down yet, but I think my main character is all but confirmed.  

Her name is likely to be Rosalie Louise Gagné.  She hails from Lévis, Québec, Canada, a small French Canadian city that is located on the shore of the St. Lawrence River.  Rosalie has a tough demeanor and is based on my perception of my Renegade Shepard.  Her tactics are rough and relentless, but few would call them reckless.  As a soldier, she's effecient, dutiful, and ready for action.  Rosalie almost enjoys the rush of battle and loves the thrill and power of being a leader.  During the main part of the story, she has the rank of 1st lieutenant within the Systems Alliance and has completed the first 5 stages of the N programme before she failed the final test and left Vila Militar to resume active duty.

I'll decide on more later, but there's a little bit about the main character

I honestly did enjoy the gifting mechanic in DA.  It was simply an amusing side-distraction, and lead to some funny conversations.  The toothbrush would have made the perfect gift for Sam.  A close second would probably have been an old-school chess set, perhaps made of marble.  (A Trident model for Steve is a great idea too).

CS: okay, long story short, Ash and I got drunk, started making out, then Liara walked in and joined us.

AW: well, yeah, it is on the video right. I promise this will never happen again.
ST: well, seeing as you both were drunk last night, i can forgive that.
CS: Thanks, Sammie-bear. *Samantha puts hand up to stop the kiss*
ST: No more sex, or alcohol for you though, Shepard.
