I aint fussed on default Shep either. She looks cool on the CE box but in game her face is a bit strange. I do like the freckles though.

anyone think that romancing Samantha seems like taking her virginity or something? like she is a lesbian, but never been in a relationship virgin. just a little something like the Cortez has a husband thing, only she had a girlfriend instead of a wife. they could have even been broken up or something. do not know, just think that they should have given Samantha at least a little experience or something to make it look like it is not as out of the blue.

What makes you think Shepard is Samantha's first relationship?

Considering how forward Sam is about the whole shower thing, it doesn't seem like her first rodeo. Other than Liara and Tali explicitly spelling out they'd never melded/shared suit environments, I generally assume all the other LIs in the game have been in relationships in the past. Probably not super serious ones, but relationships nonetheless.

i do not know, i could assume that she watched vids of stuff like that before meeting and seducing Shepard. i would just like a little acknowledgement that she has been in a relationship in the past for me to make it work.

plus just looking at her, she seems a little nerdy, less likely to get a date.

Well, too bad there's no girl topping fem!Shep. Means: if Shepard and Traynor can't be together in the long run (high EMS destruction ending), Sam won't ever be happy again ...

i thought of a addition to the problem i have. IT is the EDI thing, where Samantha calls EDI's voice attractive, there is no option to ask "You like other women?" to which Samantha can respond "well, yes, i had a girlfriend at Oxford" or something to that effect.

Hmm. Well, that might be an odd question to ask since homosexuality isn't really a big deal in the future. I mean, Kelly Chambers is bisexual but the only reason that conversation comes up is when Shepard asks if she's attracted to other species, which she admits she is as well as men and women equally.

It's likely Samantha had an ex-girlfriend back on Horizon who might have gotten abducted by the Collectors, since she is pretty upset about what the Collectors and Cerberus do to her home. But, I'm sure she'd want to project that she's available to Shepard ^_~

it would be more of a "is it just EDI or..." sort of thing. the point was that there was no choice to ask about Samantha's past before the "coming to check in on your new recruit?" question

Some guys - like myself - like 'em nerdy/geeky.  Or, in Sam's case, some girls.  I doubt that's a big factor. 


We know the relationship (or hook-ups...lol) history of plenty of characters (Thane, Garrus, Samara, Jacob, Miranda, Kasumi, Steve...), and those who haven't been with anyone prior to Shepard (Liara, Tali).  Sam doesn't reveal her past history, and I am ok with that.  It has very little bearing on things between Shep and Traynor, so ultimately it doesn't matter to me.

I beleive sam had previous relationships or flings before femshep. The comment she says after the shower, about 'I can't tell you how much I needed that' implies to me that its been awhile since she has been with anyone.Landing with femshep is cream of the crop for sam

maybe i am just looking for more of an outward acknowledgement of it kind of like:

Shepard: Is it just EDI or..?
Samantha: Depends, would you be interested if it wasn't just EDI?
1) Shepard: Maybe
1a) Samantha: well, it is not just her, but we will have to see how things play out then
2) Shepard: Just wondering
2a) Samantha: well, it isn't, but i wont try to flirt with you ma'am

This is a good point. I never got the idea that Sam hadn't been in a serious relationship prior to Shepard (Liara on the other hand, both what she says and how she acts show that she's in uncharted territory for her). The shower scene indicates to me that Sam knows what she's doing.

i know, the whole romance just seemed off to me. i guess i can assume that at some point that talked about it or something.

but the whole fling idea just does not seem to be in Samantha's vocabulary (I play for keeps) that dialogue makes it seem that if Samantha has been in a relationship before, she is comitted to that relationship.
