I never got the impression Traynor hadn't had a girlfriend before Shep. Yes she's a nerd but she's also gorgeous, I'm sure she had loads of girls going after her in uni. The only thing that might hold her back is getting flustered but it only seems to be Shep that has that effect on her (and she gets past that pretty easily anyway).

Traynor says she plays for keeps to Shep but that doesn't mean she always felt that way. She may well have been more interested in flings when she was younger and only recently realised she wanted a more serious relationship. That's the impression I got anyway.

I like that idea.

I do too. Makes a lot of sense. After all, I don't know how old she is (guessing mid-to-late 20s), so she may have just hit that point where she's decided she's ready for something long-term.

If I remember correctly, Patrick Weekes put her around 26-28-ish.

So right about where I figured age-wise. So it would make sense that she just hit that point in her life where she's ready to commit long-term.

I just finished another playthrough of me3 and like always I chose destroy. This lead me to think if Sam was in femsheps shoes what would she pck?

She would choose the same as my Shepard - Synthesis.

I agree with ottifant, I think she would be more inclined toward synthesis.
Maybe I'm just letting her interactions with EDI color my perception of her, but I just can't see Sam picking Destroy. I can't really see her picking Control either - but I have a hard time seeing many characters picking that one, for some reason.

Also, speaking of a new playthrough, I also replayed the ending a few days ago to try and mix up who I saw during the EC, and I got this moment:

Based on her desire to "physically tear them in half and watch them blow up," I'd say Traynor would choose to destroy the Reapers.

She picks Destroy.

I also have my own question. how do you think life was for Sam growing up? i would asume pretty easy minus the difficulty of finding a date for dances and stuff.

My Shep that romanced Traynor had already destroyed the geth to help the quarians so in that situation the destroy ending is kind of a no brainer (sorry EDI). But even if the geth were still about at the end I still think Traynor would choose destroy. She's Alliance and she knows the mission is to destroy the Reapers.

Well we know she grew up on Horizon which is a colony world in the Attican Traverse. So obviously there's the threat of raids from the Terminus Systems. I imagine Traynor heard news of the raider attack on Mindoir when she was a girl which no doubt would have been worrying. But despite being in a dangerous part of the galaxy Horizon seemed to be a thriving colony so I certainly don't imagine Traynor growing up in poverty. I imagine her having a working class upbringing, she wouldn't have had to go without food ever but she wouldn't have been able to afford the newest omni-tools or expensive toothbrushes. I imagine going to Oxford would have been a bit of a shock to the system, suddenly being surrounded by so many wealthy people.

I'd agree on the Destroy. Plus, I'm not certain that EDI in that ending is gone forever. Admiral Hackett in the epilogue mentions that everything that was lost/destroyed can be rebuilt. I'd guess the same would go for EDI- if the blue box is intact, she might be okay and just need her body replaced. In that case, maybe Joker can help redesign it.

The whole all synthetics being destroyed thing in the destroy ending always made me go huh?

The starbrat implies that Shepard would (or might) die too because she is part synthetic, which implies it's not just AIs that would be destroyed, but all computers and/or programs (since to my knowledge, Shepard is not an AI nor partially an AI, so therefore the brat must be refering to the cybernetic gadgets that allow Shepard to exist). And if that's the case, well, everyone's back to the stone age for a while (years) because that in turn implies that all manufacturing plants just got thrown in the toilet (since most of those would be automated, using robots and VIs, which are both synthetic enough to count for destruction).

Anyway, this is horribly off topic. I agree that Sam would likely pick destroy in Shepard's place.

^yep, that.

Especially with her reaction after Horizon... Destroy all the way.  No way she'd force every living thing in the galaxy to be something against their will, and I can't see her choosing to become a Reaper god.
