Agreed. That's why I have 2 MSheps as opposed to 4 FSheps (which are also easier to make custom looks for), though only 2 of my FSheps have been brought through ME3 so far.

I prefer MM over JH but to each their own and saying MM is bloody awful is bloody awful.

Don't be too harsh against Mark Meer. He tries to deliver fragmented lines as best as he can, the dialogue wheel can be difficult to manage for a VA. Jennifer Hale has a lot of talent but he's not that bad. That being said, the Italian voice actor for MaleShep, Claudio Moneta, is absolutely great and he's the main reason why I've got 7 MSheps and only 3 FemSheps walktrough in ME2.

Sam however has already convinced me to start my fourth FemShep walktrouhg on ME2 to have her as the only romance in the trilogy.

^^I have nothing against Mark as a person or a VA I mentioned earlier he sounded too flat or lack of spunk I only played maleshep once in me2 and once in me3 maybe if I played maleshep more I would change my mind
I will say this maleshep and Ashley romance I liked 
still Sams romance is the best

I played FemShep less probably because of her italian voice actress, which is not as cool as the male one, but FemShep romances are incredible well-made, and Sam is one of my favourite character of the trilogy, so I'll definitely start doing more FemShep walktroughs from now on.

@Up: Really? Well, in my opinion he's better than Jen Hale. Don't get me wrong, I love Jen, she's amazing, but I really prefer Mark as VA.

When playing ME2, I usually don't make it off the Cerberus station as ManShep.  I just can't stomach him for that long.  In ME3, I haven't made it off of Mars yet.

Agreed - to each their own.  I don't mean to be overly insulting, but I have my reasons for disliking ManShep so much.

For both my brother and myself, we just cannot play ManShep.  Mark Meer's performance is literally game-breaking in a game that is so story-intensive and requires a range of emotion, which his performance lacks.  I just can't play the game.  I've only ever finished one playthrough with ManShep.  That was an ME2 playthrough where my objective was to get him killed at the end.  That goal was the only thing that kept me going.

I haven't played any other games with Mark Meer in them, but his presence makes me hesitate to play Dragon Age.  On the other hand, I heard plenty of Jennifer Hale's work and I've never been disappointed.  She was excellent as Bastila Shan in Knights of the Old Republic, did well in her small role as Avatar Kyoshi in Avatar, did a phenomenal job as Aayla Secura in The Clone Wars, did well as the Trooper/Satele Shan/Bastila Shan in The Old Republic, did well as Dr. Naomi Hunter in the Metal Gear Solid series, and I know she even does the voices for two of the main characters of Cartoon Network's Totally Spies.  In situations like comparing Bastila to Aayla Secura to Sam it's hard to tell that it's the same person doing the voice.  I'm sure there are plenty of other things that I'm forgetting right now, but that should do lol

As for the Mark Meer vs. Jennifer Hale discussion; I play MShep more than FShep, to be honest.  I think it has to do with Mark Meer voicing Shep like he's trying to hold back his emotions, rather than being emotionless.  If you listen closely, you can hear the undercurrents of feeling in his voice in several points, but (from a military perspective) you don't wanna run around with your heart on your sleeve, so to speak.  There were quite a few points in the game where I thought that FShep went a bit overboard emotionally.  When you're in a position of command, you can't do that.  You break down in private, not in front of your squad/team/subordinates.

A very good interpretation. What I loved most of the italian MShep voice is the fact that Shepard sounds almost like a funny guy, who can be emotional without "running around with his heart on his sleave". When I play with FSheps however, I always play ME3 in english because I want to hear Sam original voice. I love her accent.
