Nope, someone here already mentioned an idea on how it could work but nobody really knows as of now how it works besides the devs themselves.

It is. I remember somewhere somebody saying that hp doesn't recover unless you use a medkit/medigell. (Or was that just for multiplayer?) Either way you are corret that it is a hybrid.


Ah. Thanks. Never saw that announcement. Good to know I'm still decent at guessing mechanics based on quick looks.

Ah, so that's why they're showing a picture of Shepard's back when you're picking weapons.

It will probably look like this, depending on how many Renegade/Paragon points you got:

The overall reputation level based on which Colored options will get unlocked will probably be the same, but the visual representation on the reputation bar will be influenced by which points you got more, Renegade, Paragon or both equally as much

This is kinda weird to say, but i havent been this impressed with an interface since dead space. I love how in the weapon loadout you see shep's back and how each weapon occupies a spot on his armor, rather than just have some generic menu screen pop up. It's a nice touch.

Are there individual bars for each characters reputation with you then? how will it work, is rep individual at all?

Why isn't that weapon and mod loudout UI always available from the menu like the squad talents UI? It seems like you'll only be able to change your loadout at the start of missions or whenever you find a new weapon. I'd like to be able to change my loadouts or swap mods in and out on-the-fly.

I played this portion of the game at Comic-Con and...... Wow. So much has been improved since then. Everything about the UI, from the health bar to the weapon screen, has been revamped for the better, the movement of the characters (both Shepard and NPCS) looks much smoother. I really have a good feeling about where this game is headed.


EDIT: Not to mention, they didn't have the official OST playing in the background when I played it, just some rehashed ME2 music. The new stuff sounds really good. They brought the synth back!

Edit: I have to say, the GUI looks incredible. Very nice layout, great presentation, and it seems to run super-smoothly. I'm also really liking the weapon loadout screen and the effects on recharge times... it looks like going in with the bare minimum of firepower can net you really substantial bonuses to your powers. Should end up playing a big role in how you build your character.

It's still Mark Meer high pitched Mordin from E3.

Because then you could always switch out weapons when a new enemy shows up and pretty much negate any sort of threat they can throw at you.

I don't think it's totally unreasonable that one must think about his/her loadout before going on a mission.

I agree. I played this back at PAX Prime and yes things look a lot better. Gratz BioWare, this game will own.

If it is, I'm having a harder time telling the difference, but it could just be the poor audio quality.

With this new system for hp it will make you think twice before running and gunning.
