+145% Power recharge speed. :o

And of course, somebody will attempt an adept insanity run with no guns with just liara and kaidan....

Oh yah, 145% recharge! I noticed there wasn't a heavy weapons slot. Don't really care, just thought it was interesting.

Wow... that looks rather similar to mock up mock-up I did a year ago (at least concept wise):-

Im liking everything i see here also I like the health system, but the bars on the HUD are such an eyesore. Im hoping this wont be the case for final release or that they will give us the ability to change it up in the options.

So with this whole weight system...will my soldier be able to carry every weapon with out going over the limit? because that would be awesome. If I can't at least have all the guns I had in ME2 without penalty I'm gonna be pissed

The soldier the only one that has the most amout of weight capacity. That means that he can handle up to 5 weapons, if you choose correctly.

Sweet hopefully I'll be able to role with the Revenant, Viper, Eviserator, Phalanx, and Collector Beam Rifle/ Cain again. Maybe I'll throw in the Locust smg if there's room too :o

Very nice interface, and a significant improvement over the beta versions and previous demos that we've seen. My only nitpick would be that there are still no numerical values for damage, weight, etc. on the weapon loadout screen, just the bars indicating whether each category is more or less than the weapon you currently have equipped. Can't the numbers be out to the side? Will numbers really scare people that much? I know you don't want to frighten away the casual gamer or the teenage boys who are failing math and get made when they see numbers, but seriously? I mean they'll still have the bars to look at...

i wonder how fast cooldowns are going to get for a single firearm character. effecting cooldowns seems like a huge factor to me.

i wonder if i can make a pistol adept that invests in weight capacity, only because it indirectly increases my cooldowns.

Also worth noticing: the Cerberus troops _seem_ to have the same sort of "health pockets" as Shep does, only theirs apply to shields and armor aswell.

Oh, and a big thanks to
Xxplosions  for sharing this =)

Based on the different screens, it looks to me like it's +200% / -200% range of bonus/penalty

What i'm really impressed with - is the use of the camera between scenes, around the character during action sequences.

Its just awesome - it makes it much more entertaining to watch and feels much more organic.

The Paragon/Renegade Reputation thing could function like a graph also, with the actual emblems moving up the bar as they are increased, this would explain why Shepard's head is placed a good deal of distance away from the bar, just enough room for the emblems to move up the bar.

Edit: Also, did anyone else notice that the Universal Cooldown has been changed a bit, ammo powers and such seem to be unaffected when you use an offensive power. So it seem they have more like a two cool down system than a whole universal one.

The health system seems the one from Transformers War for Cybertron. Partial segments of the bar heal on their own, but for the already empty ones you need medigel. I wonder if a dose heals all the bar or just a segment, but I guess the latter would increase difficulty a lot.

Transformers? I'm pretty sure Resistance did that first (2006) and i'm also sure somebody else will point out to me who Insomniac ripped off before them. Either way I think it much more likely that they took inspiration from R:FOM rather than some hasbro-tie-in.

Actually, Escape From Butcher Bay did it first (2004).

Maybe it's the audio quality, but Wreav's voice sounds different too.

Remember you're watching a recording through a camera, of characters speaking through radio. I wouldn't really judge the sound off this.

Carrying only a Sniper Rifle and an Assault Rifle caused Gorilla Shep to have power recharge speed at -80%?

Seems extreme and we're talking about the Soldier class here, isn't the Soldier supposed to have more weight carrying capacity/less penalty for the weapons loadout?

This makes me scared on 2 notes: First the Soldier's strength in ME2 imo is the array of arsenal, the ability to switch from SR to AR to Shotgun on the go is really nice. I'm really hoping that I don't have to stop at carrying only SR + AR only to stop power recharge speed being too much in the red. Second, if this much is already affecting the Soldier, how much will this affect the other classes? The idea of only having 1 sidearm in the "caster" classes suddenly seems like the way to go.

Feb 14 just can't arrive faster -_-

Oh don't tempt me, 'cause I'll do it too!

If it really works that way, mark my words, I'll be making my first adept playthrough without carrying weapons. It will be glorious! :wizard:

Might just be a bug or outdated stats. This screenshot below reads +24% when having a sniper rifle, assault rifle, and a pistol equipped:
