Like how Gmag got banned again today.

AGAIN?

When are the mods gonna understand that you can't ban the forum mascot?

This forum might as well have the chaos Gods as its mascot

I would appreciate a board dedicated to Nurgle.

I think you missed the point.  Noveria, while brilliant in design, suffered from god-awful pacing.

Which part? I think the first part of Peak 15 was a bit slow when you were just restoring power. Things were a lot more fun once you reached Rift Station.

However Port Hanshan was the best part. One of the best parts of the game.

It really let you explore your Shepard as a Spectre.

Will you do shady dealings for money?

Will you do the right thing?

Will you cheat cheaters?

Will you throw your weight around?

Will you go in guns blazing?

Will you try to minimize the bloodshed?

Great. You are the kind of fan Mass Effected always needed.

What wants choice?

Who wants actual options?

Patience, thinking, roleplaying? Boring!

So...
Saying that a mission is boring makes you a dumb fan who only plays for explosions and ******?
Really?

This is why alot of the decent people on these forums are leaving or are thinking about leaving. So much negativity
*Runs away*

Maybe there wouldn't be so much negativity if BioWare actually made the game look, y'know... good!

And the more common reason a lot of decent people on these forums are either leaving or thinking about it is because they're sick of seeing their favourite game IPs and once favourite game studio getting dragged through the mud since EA took the reigns and pandering more to potential fans than making games more for their existing ones.

Kaidan/Ashley do not die, the much more comprehensive GameInformer article already established that.

It's hard for me to take people seriously who don't spell and fact check their work.

If I wanted that I'd play Morrowind.  Seeing as how 2000 hours of Morrowind outweighs all of my combined Mass Effect runs, no.

Oh god that scene was awful.

I did like Noveria at the beginning due to the mission having multiple paths to take. But when Shepard had the Mako, it just got worse afterwards pacing wise. The scene with Liara and Benezia felt so underwhelming. I would have expected more from it but in the end it just felt to robotic and short.

The kind of gameplay I'd like to see comback is multiple ways to complete quests.

Noveria is the best example so far with the Citadel in ME1 being the next best.

*drools*

I doubt we'll see anything on that level again, though. ME3 has way too many pre-existing variables for them to devote precious resources to doing anything like Noveria again.

Wait for the DLC.

/*drool*

Edit: Basically, ME1 gave Bioware a great base to work off of, but they've got too much work on their hands to implement that degree of quest complexity within the main game.

Also:

Image IPB

This beats everything I saw in ME2, so I'm actually really pumped about ME3's art direction.

Then go back and play Morrowind. Why did you have to ruin a series?

Granted Morrowind crapped all over its predecessors too.

The game does look good. However I don't care about Kinect and I do think the marketing has been off i certain parts.

Are you talking about her conversation with Liara?

No, it was equally bad without Liara.

Just... overdramatic lines with overdramatic line reading.  Benezia's voice actor is fine on her own, and the script is fine on its own, but together...  Oy.

The dorky music in the background didn't help.

Yeah. I mean, Christ.

You get to Rift Station and have a brief firefight.

You use an elevator.

You have a brief firefight.

You use another elevator.

You talk to Mira.

You use another elevator.

You have a brief firefight.

You use the elevator again and go to use a different elevator.

You have a brief firefight and go back down the elevator.

You use a different elevator.

You boil some rachni with flame jets and squish a few Workers.

You take a tram.

You use an elevator.

You have a brief firefight.

Congratulations, you've reached Ventralis!...where after a very brief firefight (what a twist!) you get a choice between one boring option with a bunch of elevators, some free Para*** points, and some short bits of buggy shooting before the buggiest boss in the entire franchise, or another boring option with slightly fewer elevators and basically no morality points but more buggy shooting before the buggiest boss in the entire franchise.

This is a problem that some people choose to ignore. People have their "Because BioWare made it, it's automatically awesome" shades on.

I see they still have those ridiculous mouth masks. If you're in an environment that is harmful to your lungs, chances are it goes the same for the eyes and ears, especially if it's in the vacuum of space.

Judging from a recent video in another topic, it seems Sur'Kesh is going to suffer the exact issue I suspected it would too: whether you have Wrex or Wreav, the entire thing is pretty much exactly the same save for some dialogue here and there, despite the fact that the two krogan have completely different policies. So... so much for much variation within the variables themselves, let alone getting another Noveria.

That was what was implied, yes.

Sorry but I disagree, it's a stupid assumption... For me, despite I LOVE exploring and scan a map up to the smallest thing, the exploration of ME1 was a boring piece of trash... And I still enjoy playing games like Fallout 2, Morrowind and Phantasy Star IV.

Mmm, talk of spam reminded me of something I've been craving for a while, teriyaki spam musubi, it was my breakfast of champions for many days in my undergrad years.

Anyway, so anyone else looking forward to the puzzles?

Comparing Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind is one of the worst ideas possible.  Almost every fan in the series can't even remember Arena, most people dividing their main attention to Daggerfall's content rich game with a milestone of glitches, to Morrowind with improved graphics and still maintaining a rich field of Role Playing elements, and gameplay.  Oblivion focused on improving that Engine, Skyrim added some elements of the old games, while using a new wave to smoothe the game mechanics out by removing or combining many redundant features.  So yes, Morrowind succeeded in ways Arena and Daggerfall didn't do.

I didn't ruin the ME 1 series, you did.  Or, to specifically put, the game itself got better, you don't like it.

I didn't ask for an exact repeat of ME1 and all of its problems. However I'd have preferred Bioware FIX problems rather than just remove features.

It would have been nice if each recruitment and loyalty mission didn't exist in a vaccuum.

Omega should have been a hub similar to Port Hanshan.
