I was doing the broken circle quest, the last one to gather allies before the games conclusion...
I finished the quest, but when I got sent down to Gregoir the door was locked and the quest is still in limbo, with no way for me to complete it or do ANYTHING. The worst of it is I didn't notice since I rushed the sutscenes (second playthrough) and I saved over my last save that was way WAY back.
This is the first of many MANY game breaking glitches, should I just sell the game at EB games or something? If I can't fix this glitch I don't think I'm going to bother playing it again, since this was the one the finally ****ed me off.

Weird, I never had that problem through all my playthroughs. I wouldn't sell but just wait for an update.

well you shouldn't have to run back down to the door.. as you near the head mage guy.. (I forgot his name.) after the final battle a cut scene takes place and then through dialogue you are taken back downstairs. You have the option to say "wait I want to look around before we go" or something like that but then all you have to do is go back and talk to him and he should take you downstairs.

I'm already downstairs, but it glitched and I can't go back in to get him. (I left him behind somehow o.o)

I'll wait for an update, but until a fix is found I cannot continue in the game.

With the "wait I want to look around" option you can go back and explore all the areas you were just at.. but I was able to go back to the third floor and talk to him. You don't have any saves prior to that? Where's your last auto save at? I would think it would be right after beating the bad guy. (Unless it auto saves while running around on the floors.. which it probably does.) You have to have a save before somewhere. You might have to do the whole area again but it's better than waiting for a patch and hoping somehow that it fixes your saved game. Just put the game on easy and blaze through until your back where you started.. You still get the same xp so your not missing any of that.

Sadly my saves don't let me do that, I can't go back since I went a bit farther before I realized the quest glitched. That talk option isn't available, if I go back to the tower the door is locked and only the Templars and the Quartermaster are there, and they talk like I haven't gone up yet.

That's too bad... sorry about that. For some reason RPG's are usually the most bugged type of games out there and years of playing them have taught me the value of multiple saves.. There are 31 saves spaces available for Dragon age.. it's really good to actually use all those and just keep them in rotation.. Save before entering anything, save before fights, save right after the fight, save before you suspect a major conversation. It kind of sucks that you have to rely on so many saves but in rpg's saves actually save you. It might feel like kind of a waste but you could always forget that character for now and start up a new one with a different starting origin.. The game does at least play out a little differently depending on race and gender so you won't feel like your playing exactly the same thing over again. And your saves won't overwrite that character, you get a whole new area for saves and character.. so if and when the patch comes out you can always go back to that old character and see if anything has changed.

Whats annoying was that I would always do that, but the one time I stopped is when I get really screwed over. I am unable to do any other major quests either, like Morignas side quest won't work because of it for some reason. The only thing I can do is delete my save, and if I do that I will likely stop playing the game and sell it at EB or something. Also I hate deleting this build because I can pretty much solo the Flemeth fight ><;;

Anyways thanks for the responses, I guess there is no fix for this game breaking glitch.

Hey when I talk to Wynn in camp, since we are supposed to be in the tower it just like teleports me waaay out into the campgrounds background! xD

Also in an unrelated glitch sometimes a two hander glitches and the game things your using a really slow dagger or something....

I can't take these glitches anymore, they are just too constant and almost no news of any real attempts to fix them are being done. I wish a patch was released that could un-stick characters...But I don't think thats possible.

I'm playing Divinity 2 until they fix this cluster **** of a mess up. Divinity 2 is great so far. If you like crafting you will love it.

Yes it does, but sadly I can't finish the campaign. If I go to the Arl, he says he is not yet ready (Since I have to do that quest but can't). I need to use the litany, but I already did- if that ****ing door wasn't locked I could probably go trigger the event and move on. This is why the 360 version is inferior to the pc and ps3 versions, it's like they did this on purpose...

If it wasn't for the fact I had the collectors edition and all the major DLC+some, I would take it back xD

But I guess I'll hold out, though I doubt any future updates will un-glitch him, just make it so you can't get stuck in this glitch.

If this would have been on my first play through, I would have went ballistic.
