You know dear Bioware, I really like your game Mass Effect. All of them. So much, in fact, that I bought Collectors Editions for both of them. And I think I pretty much bought all the DLCs when they came out. While ago, wasn't it?

So, I reinstalled the game a couple of times, backed up my saves and all that, and all was always well, because I could just log into my Bioware account and redownload the DLCs.

So now I moved to Canada for a year, actually pretty close to you, imagine that. Crazy world, crazy world.
And since I'm a hopeless fanboy and knew Mass Effect 3 was going to come out while I was in Canada, I brought my copy of Mass Effect 2 along. So now I just installed it on my new laptop. I admit, I haven't checked in with my account in a while, yes, yes, I always say I'll visit but I don't do it nearly often enough. So I install it, and just want to log into my account. And it tells me to activate my Cerberus ID.

I did that, back in 2010. Oh, I still know where the card is too, it's in Europe, at my storage unit. Why is it there? Because I never needed it again for a whole year, so why should I drag it everywhere like it's a magic key?
So I log into my Bioware acc-what? Origin? Oh god, I heard about that. Well, I need this as badly as a veneral disease, but I apparently have no choice. So a screenname? Don't I have one alr-youknowwhatokay, a screenname then. No, I don't want to add somebody named "Whorlol22" to my friendslist,
and it would take a lot of explaining and strong drink for you to sway
my on this position in any way- So, now lets download the D...L..C... what? I have no games registered? Surely you jest? Oh you don't.

So, to sum this up. My DLC is gone. That does suck. And what now, I ask into the cold uncaring void? Why is all of my stuff all of a sudden in need of a re-registering? I must've installed the game 4 or 5 different times on different systems over the year, and it was never an issue. I mean, lets face it, I wont buy the whole DLC again unless you threaten to kidnap my dog and teach him to bark the Jersey Shore opening 24/7, but I'll still buy Mass Effect 3, so I wont even say that I wont if the DLC is permanently lost, or lost until I come back to Europe this summer and retrieve that suddenly incredibly important piece of plastic from my storage box, but I'll be sad. Let me tell you will I ever be sad. I played the same character for 2 whole games, and was pretty close to finishing the game again, but now my old savegames wont work because they have all that DLC on them that you suddenly say I never bought. Cold. It even says my CD key was never registered. That's interesting, to say the least.

Wow, writing this felt good. Hope you can help me, but if I conned you into reading all this then at least my voice was heard.
