Depends on the squadmate I suppose. I like my stories to be as emotional as possible, so I love character deaths either way. I'm kinda like Joss Whedon in that way I guess, where I love when my favorite characters get killed off, haha.

Ruthless Shep will gladly sacrifice all but two (we need two squadmates, after all) to achieve her goals. =D

Depends on the squadmate. Most of them I'd sacrifice first.

Depends on which Shepard I'm playing, I've a couple who'd do it themselves. Colony!Shepard has lost enough people for one lifetime.

Or two, I suppose.

Since my Shepard doesn't think to high of anybody except herself it would depend on the situation.
Lets say push that button and get electrocuted, sure squaddy can do it.
If its fighting a Reaper in hand-to-hand combat it would probably be "If you want things done right, you gotta do 'em yourself."
Stupid examples but I think you get the gist of it.

Heh, I would like to see Joker's death, but only in one on my playthroughs, so that doesn't have to be like only option. In a best way, I don't want anyone to die, couse first time in ME1, on Virmire, it was like a pack of cigarettes and couple cups of coffee, before decision of who will die. And now I have saves with Ash and with Kaidan. So if it wiil be a choice, than in all my 5 saves Shep will die, and all others will live. Couse I like all of my squadmates.

Depends of the kind of Shepard I play, and what is the situation. But I know a least one squadmate I could never sacrifice : Miranda.

That depends on which squadmate it is. If any of my favourites were likely to die, I might have Shepard sacrifice herself instead, but it'd take a lot more consideration for one I'm not crazy about.

I'd like to say it depends on the squadmate, but being a paragon, I'd probably say Shepard.

Depends on the circumstances and the particular squad mate, but probably Shepard - he might as well have a heroic death.

Will always have sacrifice themselves for Shepard: Kaidan, Ashley, Jack, Miranda, Jacob, Thane, Zaeed, Liara, and Vega.

50/50: Mordin, Legion and Samara.

Will sacrifice Shepard for: Tali, Garrus, Wrex, Grunt and Kasumi.

If it's Shepard or Garrus, then Shepard has to die, because a Mass Effect universe without Garrus isn't worth living in anyway.

Any other squadmate would be a manageable loss.

My Shep is definitely the self-sacrificing type, so she would probably do that - the only squadmates I could potentially see going in her place would be Thane or Legion - they could *possibly* talk her into that.

Otherwise, she'd go into the fire to save her squad, any time.

since there aren't going to be any decent romances, I'd like to pursue (apart from Liara) in this game anyway, all my Sheps but one would likely sacrifice themselves if presented with the opportunity.

It honestly depends on the squad mate.

If it were a choice between Miranda and Shepard, Shepard would sacrifice himself.

That depends on my Shepard and the squadmate, but Liara, Miranda and Kasumi would have good chances to survive. Thane is terminally ill, so I wouldn't save him over Shepard. I wouldn't sacrifice my hamster to save Kaiden.
