Punished isn't the right word. More like... overlooked.

ME3 seems to be outright punishing them though.

Well I am not going to look at the leak just to argue a point but you don't exactly have the most unbiased opinon on this matter so you will excuse me if I don't take your word for it.

I vouch for Saphra. He's right.

The renegades are punished in ME1 and ME2 when it comes to (lack of) content.

And from the looks of it, in ME3 the renegades are not only going to be punished by lack of content (lack of war assets), they're also going to be punished in not being able to get the best ending and they're also going to be punished by not going to be able to get that one achievement for getting all the war assets (because renegades can't get them all, while paragons can).

DON'T POST SPOILERS!

You'll get KotorEffect3 after you...

Even though I recognize your sarcasm, I fully expect my pure paragon to bitten on the arse because some choices were just purely naive, anyway, I'm pretty sure I can see a halo beginning to appear above her head, that's definitely gotta go!

I don't understand why & how renegades justify cold blooded murder and expect rewards?

If you kill something,it is dead & gone. The lack of it,is your content. No story to be told when it is no longer there.

Renegades & Paragons have a very similar amount of content.
They are considered playstyles. Based on how you feel,to expect rewards is wrong.
It's about choice and you should expect outcomes. Which Bioware has delivered.

In ME I liked to invest in Intimidate but chose Paragon options when push came to shove. It was fun getting people to do things not because of Shepard's charm but because s/he intimidated them. My Shepards ended up Paragades and that satisfied me.

In ME2 it was more difficult to be Paragade because of the squad mate arguments if you wanted to keep both of them loyal, and at what stage of the game the conflicts arose. Instead of being a spontaneous occurrence it became something that I had to plan ahead of time, although sometimes I chose what I really wanted irrespective of possible ME3 consequences because it was in character for that Shepard at that time.

If what was said about mixing up the renegade and paragon actions in ME3 for the best possible result is true then I will be happy, because it lends itself to a more natural response and decision making experience - for me.

As for Renegades being evil - I thought Bioware initially said that Renegades weren't. If BW writers are favouring the Paragons, because they are 'nearer to the angels', then that seems unfair. In war terrible decisions have to be made in order to ensure the survival of your side. Renegades may have more experience in that regard than pure Paragons, who never seems to want to leave anyone unhappy let alone wounded or dead. 'That's just my opinion though, ....'

Both parties receive rewards for imports.
Your comment makes little to no sense.

Damn I forgot ME was a game. Thanks for the reminder.
Who spends 24/7 on BSN claiming to be sophisticated?

Shepard is the player. 50,000 plus in minerals & 200,000 plus credits.
Not enough reward for your import?
And yes both Paragon & Renegades choices have outcomes.
So what exactly is your complaint?

Any hope for Renegade badassery disappeared when Cerberus put on their black cloaks and decided to be evil. Personally I'm a Renagon(Paragade? Whatever) Couldn't imagine playing the game any other way, I'd feel like some stupid drone.

Really I think you're all looking at this wrong.

ME3 isn't punishing Renegades or Paragons.

Its punishing everyone who played ME1 and ME2.

****ing anything. I just want the game to acknowledge what I did. If I played a Renegade in ME1 and I import that career to ME2 I don't want my ME2 experience eto wind up being almost 100% identical to a non-import ME2 experience.

That's the problem. When you play Renegade in ME1 and import it to ME2 mostly you get....

So what's the point of playing Renegade? Your decisions don't carry over.

How come somebody dying has no effect on anything? No reduced crime for killing a crime boss. No NEW crime boss. No grieving widows or vengeful brothers or friends. Anything would be nice. You can punish Shepard with a bad consequence while rewarding the player with content.

Like what if a decision you make blows up in Shepard's face but to fix it or mitigate the damage Shepard has to go on a mission? So that means even if the decision turned out for the worse the player still got a bonus mission out of it. They got more GAME TO PLAY out of it.

Wreav is a decent example. He is a unique character that you don't meet if Wrex is alive. However he doesn't count because he's there if you don't import so he's not exclusive to people who killed Wrex.

This is why the human Council not being there is so aggravating. It was the perfect chance to let us meet new characters in place of old ones. Instead we get nothing.

The problem is that Renegades get less content. They kill people, yes, and those people shouldn't appear again, but they want that to be noticed just as much as if the people had been spared. It's more about equality amongst choices.

Everybody is biased in one way or the other. However most are not as sophisticated as I am.

However the fact that you're telling me not to make "assumptions" while admitting that you have a lot less information than I do is a tad hypocritical.

Wrong in your case, right in the case of others.

You have tried justifying renegade actions and remarked it as the "smart move", the one that should be rewarded.

Obviously I disagree. When I kill something in ME, I am done with it. No I don't want to be bothered by some random NPC that knows nothing of the Rachni Queen, telling me about how I killed it.
Really? How pointless is that?

3 mins of unresolved content is not Bioware tailoring to the Paragon IMO. Sorry, but no Paragon choice has greatly effected the game & left the Renegades at a disadvantage. Anything else is speculation.
Paragon/Renegade is not about reward or content, but rather choice & outcome.

Nobody suggested that, you twit.

If Shiala is dead why can't I meet Elizabeth Baynham?

If Giana is dead, why can't I meet Lorik Quin?

If the Council is dead, why can't I meet the new one? (even if they are just going to give me the finger)
