At one point FemShep was called Loca by Vega, but they changed it to Lola. Maybe they thought being called crazy is more insulting to female players? All I know is that all I would think of is the Kinks song. No thanks.

Cooler? As in "designed to be an easy, likeable character"? From what I've seen in the script - yea, probably. But that doesn't mean he's a better character. And anyway, it's all subjective, so for me - nope, I still prefer Kaidan/Ash.

There is nothing special about Vega at all. I wish there was a way to kick him off my ship. I'd rather keep the current squad mates i have rather than having some random typical soldier in the mix.
