I dislike boss battles. Im going to talk about awakenings, that fight before you get to the broodmother in khal hirol and theres that big fiery golem and the hurlock emissary,

I play on nightmare, but sometimes i dislike it because i spend pretty much the entire time in the radial menu telling my mages to heal my tank over and over in between taking lyrium potions and casting an offensive or debilitating spell to give me 2seconds of advantage.

The amount of health that think has is nothing short of absurd! I cast mana clash on it, it did 386 damage to it (more health than my mages have with 30 constitution) and that equated to about 2% of its total health.
I dont know if this annoys anyone else but to me a hurlock emmisary boss should just be a very high level version of me. Maybe lvl 50 or something, id be fine with that but that level of health would require something like a constituation of 500. The only things with health that high should be dragons.

In general i like the challenge of nightmare difficulty, but for boss battles i actually prefer to dial down the difficulty rather then spend the entire battle in the menu and having all my health taking away instantly after healing and healing again....
and theres no way to stop it your only choice is to continully heal

Ah its **** and my rant is going around in circles. you get what i want i want them to be hard but fair, is this possible?

Sounds like a "Nightmare" to me... a lot of people complain that Nightmare is too easy for their liking. Hard to please everyone. Nothing wrong with dialing the difficulty down for some battles. Its your game, play it as you see fit.

mah, i do find nightmare easy, i never lose but it requires me contantly check health and pause to make sure everythings going right quite often, and for most of the battle during bosses, which takes some of the fun out of it imo, but if i lower the difficulty its so easy it seems pointless.. do you get me??

if your in mages radial menu all the time then i would check tactics. A good one is usually to tel him directly heal the tank, by specifically entering his name. Especially if consuming potions i see no probs of getting the mage to run on auto.

ok i have watched this and all i can believe is that its not nightmare difficulty!
His main character gets grabbed and his life absorbed for 5 whole seconds before one of his party stops it, and he only gets healed once while grabbed, and yet when he comes out of it he has full life and the baroness has the same as she did when she started the move.
Ive plaved here on nightmare and unless i stonefist her immediately she is going to recover half her hp with that one move and my char that she did it to will be vulnerable to dying with her next hit unless i instantly heal him with all my mages.
The, ****.
