Eh, I disagree. The only *problem* with it is the social stigma against kids doing traditionally un-kidlike stuff, which just as with everything, sometimes happens.

Of course, a 15 year old wielding a gun when as far as we know she's had no training with it would be odd. But I see no issue with a 15 year old biotic killing machine, at least from a writing standpoint, if not an emotional standpoint.

I don't know what they plan to do with it, but it better be than the crap we initially got.

Otherwise we're gonna be going through this AGAIN.

Oh dear, I'm not sure if I could successfully make enough jokes for another 400 page thread.

I hope no one would dare to take that strong hit to reputation and the next version will be at least decent?

We were provided with Turian Rickshaws and Cereal Killers, I believe that you and many others will come up with something... (Should that day ever come... *shudder*)

Try this with changing the movie story?

Nah this is great financial investment. After 5 book re-writes and 3 movie re-shoots, the complete collection of all the different revisions would make a massively awesome collectors item.

Just exactly how much will be redone?
I hope most of it, like killing of Hendel. I did not like that at all. Or making Kei Leng wink at an asari, that completly brakes his character...ah theirs so much wrong with this book. Start from stratch but I apreciate the fact that BioWare is doing something about it.

Well... yeah

Ok, maybe a 15 year old autistic girl going all "Braveheart" on various spies, aliens, and gangsters might not sound like the best idea for a novel, but everything sounds bad when you say it!  And I think a talented (key word) sci-fi author can pull it off.

I mean, I'm head-over-heels about a series of novels about a transexual samurai space robot that teams up with King Arthur to fight the Catholic Church at the Battle of Trafalgar, so I'll give the new Deception a shot.

Sir I have to say good job,  they listened.

Here is a victory cigar for ya.

Psst- I don't smoke, don't do drugs, rarely drink alcohol.

I'll go ahead and enjoy that victory cigar, even though I rarely ever smoke. Victory cigars? Heck yes! Cigs? Ewwww no. Lol. A celebratory margarita at dinner tonight might also be in order. ;)

It's been a pleasure helping y'all out. I'm glad our efforts at least got us an apology. I'm with SpartHawg, though...wary of this "revision." This novel will need a substantial overhaul...it might not be great in v2.0, but at least make it consistent.

Y'all are awesome.

Well, well....I didn't expect this to happen. Nice. The writing and characterization probably won't improve, but at least there's a chance the most stupid mistakes will be corrected.

I'm wondering, though, if there's enough demand for a next edition of the book.

BSN supplied them with the most organized errorlist they could hope for, I can't imagine them missing anything crucial.

There's nothing wrong with that. Yes it's stupid, but Gillains isn't exactly normal, as well as young. Kids do stupid things, and then put themselves in situations that get themselves murdered. Especially a 15 year old, who's autistic, and spent most of her life away from society.

Though if they do make a change, I hope Leng is really trying to capture her, and is forced to kill her. Instead of TIM killing a subject he was trying to capture when she was a child. And instead killing her because "Oh no, she's wants to kill me!"

It's plausible. My 15-year-old autistic sister once went on a manhunt for the guy who got her order wrong at Wendy's...

Awesome! Beyond Awesome! Thanks for this BioWare!

Seriously - this is an amazing response - can't wait to see the revision.

Edit: But please don't treat this like another Epic Community Event and sweep the whole thing under the rug and never speak of it again.

Gillain's father was killed by Cerberus, as well as turned into an experiment. She herself was an experiment, and is forced to be on the run from them.

She has every reason to want to fight back. Stupid to do so or not.

I don't get this response, how could you take the matter seriously if the original launched? I mean, anybody who read it should've noticed something was off. It shouldn't have needed 400+ pages to make somebody say something. How about those who've purchased the "bad" version of the book, did they throw away their money if they want the "good" version?

I accept the apology, but some issues remains. I bought the book, and I read (almost) all of the book. At the end of it, I was just so annoyed with not only with the what the author writed but how he wrote that I skiped from "key plot to key plot". Now they are going to make a review of the book. Do I get a refund? will they give me the book revised? I don't really care about it, but when you apologise, you make amends to the people you are apologising.

But the real important point is how did this happen? Didn't Bioware read the book before giving the approval?

Dunno, 'cause some of us realize we don't live in a perfect world and can take things in stride?

Starting to look like the people who bought the "bad" book now have a collectible...
