I don't think so, apologize from Bioware completely changed situation. After Bioware statement it's in his best behalf to do it. There were two targets of fan rage and one of them make humble apologize, so now all going on him.

If they'd really want to apologize, they'd offer to refund all "unpatched" Deception novels.

I should clarify- I'm asking because if you weren't aware, the Bioware Social Network has a near 450 page thread(as of this posting) with 10K+ posts universally against the novel, even wishing it disavowed from the lore. On top of that, many gaming websites are covering that fans want the novel disavowed and that there's a google document(Fan made) that lists all the inconsistencies in the novel. On top of that, one fan even burned a copy of the book.
So I'm just curious where you stand on this. Its quite shocking, really.
Also, as an author, its expected that you would defend your work(as would I). But several inconsistencies have rubbed fans the wrong way, some even insulting them, such as a character who was autistic suddenly having it hand-waved off, and a homosexual character suddenly becoming heterosexual. Some fans are offended, and we're put off by your defense of the novel in an email you sent to a fan(said email being well worded, mind you).
I believe the fans just want to know what you REALLY think. Not the author, not the businessman, but the real inner sanctum of who you are- They want to know what YOU think about all this. I am simply their leader- Here to let you know how the masses feel. But personally, I ask you what I asked earlier- what are your thoughts on this situation?

The fact that it wasn't handled at all is the problem - if Dietz had read Ascension at all he never would have written Gillian's POV the way he did. And the drugs that Cerberus were pumping her full of only served to exacerbate her condition, they didn't create it.

And Dreman, honestly; what the hell are you trying to achieve here? Gillian's no longer autistic, that's a massive problem. What is there to debate? Its not that it "Wasn't handled well," its that it wasn't handled AT ALL.
And the people that "Live normal lives," in your "Examples," are probably not biotic test-beds who had extreme social issues to the point where they freaked out by just being touched, and unleashed singularities from being teased, and they probably didn't endure the hell that Gillian did.
There's no real comparison here, and again, its a moot point because ITS NEVER COVERED. Ever, not once. So this entire discussion was doomed from the beginning.
I'm not say her autisum should be gone, just that it's possible that she can cope with it.

That's not the point. That's never been the point; ever since i posted on the subject, it was in regards to the fact that she had apparently "Recovered from autism," because she's no longer autistic. I was being sarcastic. The idea (Idea, not fact.) that Gillian could have coped with her condition to the level Dietz potrayed (Again, highly unlikely.) is not the issue, its the fact that he made it possible because she's now just another teen with a troubled past. That's. Not. Okay. No matter how you look at it.

because he replied to people prior to the apology saying Bioware reviewed and Ok-ed everything line by line. Now he went from replying to polite questions to unfriending people who ask politely for an explanation
