Did Aria need something from Kahlee and Anderson at the end of this book and I missed it, or did Aria send her assistant after them, after hoping they would get killed, get pasted on just so Anderson could knock him out and Aria hate him for a new book he will never write.

Also I am still talking about a very prominent military and potentially political figure depending on how your ME quest shapes up who is just waltzing around OMEGA.

That's another thing I don't understand. First of all, Anderson and Kahlee bring Aria and her troopers over, expecting to get Gillian and Nick out alive when a fire fight starts. Bad idea alone.

Then you got some dude killing Nick for no good reason, just so Anderson and Kahlee can "Talk" to Aria. Which is also stupid. Because if she just wanted them dead, she wouldn't have brought them. And second, there's no reason to kill them nor anything she'd want them to say.

While this whole book looks terribad.......Gillian's death is the worst.

In fact if they fixed her character and killed her the same, it will be even worse.

We would now have a 15 year old autistic girl killed by toothbrush....the heart and soul of Ascension.

This book needs to be retconned and Gillian should be a DLC story for ME3. If not she needs to survive Deception. In fact, she should blind Kai Leng.

One of the things that really irk me about all post-ME2 fiction is that OMEGA (introduced to us in ME2 as "a pisshole") always appears prominently, as if it, not the Citadel, was the "center of the Universe".

It's as if every writer felt he has to include as a "this is Mass Effect that you're reading!!!1", simply because it's the first place most players visit on the new Normandy, disregarding that it's a dump that no sane person would visit willingly, and especially not a prominent human political figure. I hope the "Omega = Mass Effect cred" fad will end with ME3. Bleh.

Another probably I want to bring up is how the Council suggests Cerberus might have made the technology that transformed Grayson, yet they never suggested the possibility of the Geth being involved. Which you'd think they would, since Saren's Geth had husks since Edan Prime.

The more I read this rage comic, the more idiotic Deception becomes. And the more I think that this deplorable stain on the Mass Effect universe needs to be removed, along with all traces that it ever existed. I'd like to think that Bioware's upcoming changes could fix things, but really, when something is that screwed up and mangled, its best to just put it down and start from scratch.

The funniest thing about that scene was they just threw the marriage thing out of nowhere.  They just met a few days earlier after robbing Aria's bank

Yes, that's just one of many flaws of this book - it is one big circle without even minimal step forward. At the beggining  Council denying Reapers involment and at the end Council still denying Reaper's involment. Rescuing of two teenagers ended with their death. Practically nothing happenned, just three characters, who can stay out o series, return to series to die.

And that marriage?  It's same case like Leng's cereals as proof of his coolness - Dietz wanted to make this scene more emotional and thanks to this empty words epicly failed again and made it padory of itself instead. He's like elcor who must tell you what to feel, but this elcor-Dietz isn't even able to tell it properly.

That was informative. Halfway into vid two I decide to call it quits before any of my allready strained illusions about the storytelling that Bio supposedly stand for gets crushed. Im going to assume that noone at Bio or Del Rey proofred the story and that ME3 isnt going to be anywheree near as bad...
