I find it fun. Also, it need not be 'ridiculous amounts' (although I'd love it) only a few, which I seem to recall you also being against anyway.AdmiralCheez wrote...
Seriously, I think I made my points fair enough: Death is okay. Some unavoidable death is okay. Death of important NPCs is okay. Realism is okay. But ridiculous amounts of unavoidable death of squadmates is not okay because it's not fun.

I don't think so, I'm betting Bioware will be throwing naivity into ME3, but having said that, if a renegade has burnt nearly all their bridges, then it makes sense they will lose some benefits.incinerator950 wrote...[*]Renegades are not horrible playthroughs, its just the Paradurp community is going to get more rewards for being nice then honest or realistic.

The ironic thing here is that those were pretty big Hollywood hits back in the day.
Oh sure, but Hollywood changes with time.
You can't tell that any modern big budget films are anything like Blade Runner, or the first Star Trek fim, or 2001, or even Aliens.
Directors change, the audience's tastes change.
Moon would have been good inspiration for more Mass Effect games.

You are the one who said you have no standards and get to have more fun. I was just commenting on the likely consequences of that lifestyle.

Nah, I was only against completely unavoidable deaths of people actually in the squad with no player agency whatsoever, and the only way I'd tolerate it is if it were done incredibly well and not as a forced dramatic element.GodWood wrote...

With my canon Shep I saved Kaidan. I want Kaidan and Garrus to be my 2 bro's.

No!
Mass effect needs to be more like Avatar with clear cut black/white sides, with bad guys who does bad things for bad reasons.

@ SAPHRA.. I have a question. What does saving the VS of the same gender of your Shep has to do with anything?
I believe they don't trust you as well and during a certain encounter they or someone else can die as a result.

Actually, in that case, you both get your wish. AFAIK, you can keep the entire ME3 squad alive, but there will be plenty of other deaths in the game (ie possibly with past squadmates).AdmiralCheez wrote...

I don't really have a measure of 'ridiculous amounts of death'. As for Cheez, I don't know, 50+%?Out of curiosity, how much death constitutes a "ridiculous amount"?

Alien was a horror movie so I think it kind of needed a clear-cut badguy.
When I refer to Alien and Aliens I'm more talking about the setting itself, the way people dress, the way ships and colonies look like.
Plus Alien/Aliens was obviously the inspiration for Exo-Geni. Or more specifically, Wayland-Yutani was.

@Saphra, Highlight the text below.
Well see, Kaidan is more of a Paragon person. He calls you out on killing the previous council if you did. But with my canon i saved them. There are other variables but you can still convince him and get him to kill Udina.

Which means you'll only have to deal with current trends for a while longer. Eventually, people will get tired of Snooki and Michael Bay. Change is already happening, in fact--movies like Scott Pilgrim and Zombieland were made by this generation, for this generation.Saphra Deden wrote...

It would be. In fact, the guy that did the musical score for that (Clint Mansell) is working on ME3's soundtrack.Moon would have been good inspiration for more Mass Effect games.
