Killing Vido should be priority over the refinery workers. Vido would kill a hell of lot more if let escape than a handful of refinery workers.
No because the next guy in line would just take over the Blue Suns and still be doing the same thing.
But it would set them back. It would weaken the Blue Suns. The loss of a leader is not something you blow off. The Blue Suns could dissolve into several smaller, weaker bands. They could have infighting for leadership. And much more. You could potentially cripple or destroy a major enemy... or do nothing with any lasting effects.
I think the choice is pretty obvious.
The Blue Suns were more like a corporation than a cult. While it is true they might have had some infighting etc.... Overall Vido was just at the top position, he wasn't a figurehead or anything.

Not really. Paragon is all about undermining humanity and sacrificing others on the altar of Shepard's personal morals.

I saw an interesting take on his LM a while ago.Saphra Deden wrote...
I can go either way on Zaeed and his LM.I would not destroy the factory of one of humanity's most important corporations and industries, when I am aiming for human hegemony politically and economically, to kill one man. I do not care about the workers.
[It's] a resource rich planet, that can cost Eldfell-Ashland Energy millions of credits if completely destroyed. Not to mention that it would look worse for humanity if they completely failed to protect their investments and workers abroad.
This is the same for lot of choice, you could actualy either justufy it by a paragond or renegade point of view.
While playing the games, i find some choices to be in the wrong side, but beyond that, what really matter is that i have the option to make this choice, some people are so focused on the color they forget they can make other choices that would may be fit better for their game experience.
What matter is that your choice carry the consequence you are expecting from it.
The worst possible story outcome for me, would be consequence >< choices, i don't care if they are paragon or renegade, because i play both.
When i choose to pull the triger by choice, i want him dead !
When i choose to give him a hand, i want to help him !
Wanting to punish either side because you don't agree that he should be "killed" or "rescued" is childish IMO, It's more about what you "CAN" do, rather then what you "MUST" do.
This is an entertainement.

Umm... yes and no. Choices shouldn't turn out in totally odd-ball ways because that is very contrived. However they should surprise you. They should have far reaching affects, both good and bad (often at the same time).

Well it's better that way than having you favorite squadmate die off in a way that you couldn't possibly prevent just because someone else wanted it to happen. The Virmire decision was exactly that: a decision. You got to choose who you wanted to save. Killing off a character at random is just dumb writing. Call of Duty has resorted to killing off protagonists in pretty much every game since aught six. "OMG this is so dramatic lulz!!!" How 'bout we have to make hard decisions, but ones that we have an actual choice in? The suicide mission wasn't even exactly that suicidal. You were given, "the brightest, the toughest, the deadliest allies [Cerberus could] find". That combined with the most advanced and innovative technology available makes your prospects quite a bit brighter.Kaiser Shepard wrote...

Mass Effect 2 style.
I hate people like you. ****ing death obsessed emo.
In the end, it all came down to "I couldn't stand losing my virtual space waifu/husbando, please don't have them die.".

You won't mind as long as it is done well and will actually enjoy it.
Like Littlefoot's mother dying, or Bambi's, or Mufasa, or Ben Kenobi, ect...

Yes, but you would come at odds with many in the galaxy because as you already have stated "other sides will put their species first".
Essentially, you *can't* protect the galaxy and put human goals first; perhaps not even for ME 3.

Yes, when I'm at odds with the galaxy then humanity wins out. When I'm not then we can all win.
