The reason why the Protheans went extinct was because they had forseen the end. Their calender endes on January 31st 2186 CE, when the Citadel will be aligned with the galactic core! This will end the world as we know it! We must build arc ships to transport us to a safe haven.
This Commander Shepard is clearly insane. This "Reaper" myth has been dismissed several times!

How could any sane person believe that anything, short of a supernova would wipe a whole system ?
I bet this star system doesn't even exist ! How convenient, just when the Geth hysteria started going cold, that the Alliance would spring the Batarians as the new enemies.
Its all one big ploy to push the Council races into invading Terminus.
Just think of it : Earth never had any kind of support from the Citadel and now colonists went missing. No one's gonna' invest any credits anymore. So what do you do then ?
Why start a war of course ! The entire galactic military-industrial complex benefits. Hahne-Kedar, Armax Arsenal, you name it. They're all rubbing their hands and talons at the opportunity.

I read on Infobattles and Prisoncolony that the SR1 Normandy project was a backdoor deal with Pavalen to give away military secrets! Its all part of Amul Shastri's plan to sell us out to the Turian Heirarchy. They want to build a new galaxy order. Don't let Shastri destroy humanity! Vote Terra Firma!
Actually it was Cerberus who gave the Alliance the idea to make the normandy so that the alliance could learn how turians make ships.

See, that didn't go where you thought it would, nah!
I mean, given the size of the fleet that attacked, given the ample amount of debris and evidence, don't you think one of the thousands of techs sent to scour the citadel for wreckage would've popped up and claimed,"Hey, these pieces here look like batarian dorsal heat sinks from a carrier." If not for the noteriety alone? How much longer are we going to have to put up with these "empty ships" theories, the idea that the council ordered the attack against the citadel to help economies assume a war footing? It's disrespectful of the Alliance and council soldiers who fought and died.

Look, we're all smart reasonable people who can see when obvious lies are being used to hide a simple truth. It wasn't "Reapers" or Geth or even Saren who was trying to attack us on that temperate Thursday afternoon, it was our own fears...and a reaper and some geth and Saren.

Another one of the "Reaper" proponents? Come on now. The Geth have been on their own for 300 years, doing God Emperor knows what. They may be fully capable of building a Super Dreadnaught, and given the stress Shepard must have been in (being the first human spectre and stopping a Geth armada, while dealing with the sexism against women in the military), I can't blame him for seeing a Super Dreadnaught and thinking it was some sort of different AI.
As for this entire "Batarian Conspiracy", that's just complete nonsense. The Alliance has no reason to instigate a war against the Batarians, especially after we've finally made our colonies secure from the Geth.

Just pointing this out, I don't think sexism in the military is a proplem in mass effect (considering it is in the future, things like racism and sexism have gone down over time)

Listen, Shepard has to deal with all sorts of sexist people throughout her mission, which is why he whips it out and shows 'em whose is bigger.

Dogar and Kazon are the twin gods of death and destruction and they will ultimately be the cause of doom for us all! It is true! I have heared it myself on my hyperwave receiver on channel 44. The reapers are nothing to them, they will also be included in the ending of the universe as we know it.
