Sitting in the dark corner of the ship New Tokyo a young soldier girl sat holding a Datapad spit out the news saying that the ship could have possibly not been Geth. Her slanted eyes narrowed as she closed the news bulletin. Only now, years later was the news network recognizing things that were plain to see to those who'd been present at the battle of the Citadel.
She had been present and had seen the final battle go down. The alliance cruisers for the first half of the battle weren't even damaging the dreadnaught yet the other geth ships were getting slaughtered. The very pattern and formation of the weaponry was different. She herself didn't like the political cr*p that got in the way of the truth. But she was a soldier, she was paid to fight.
"I hope they bring out some more recent news... I'd like to hear if Shepard is going to stand trial for the Batarian's charges of terrorism." The girl muttered, her bright orange eyes scanning over the Datapad one last time as she shut it off.
"1st Lieutenant Hanabi C. Badhand, report to the command deck." came across the ships intercom. Hanabi tossed the Datapad back into her locker and headed towards the bridge. She wondered what she'd be ordered to fight today. She was the best fighter on this ship and she could only imagine what missions would be in store for her soon, if half of what Shepard claimed was right.
Down in her gut though, Hanabi felt that Shepard was right. She'd heard the reports and the claims. War was coming, and she herself had every plan to fight in it.
