OH BIOWARE, YOU AND YOUR IRONY!

They're totally prepared, they're going to be so safe that they'll feel safe to bring their kids anywhere. ANYWHERE I SAY.

so i guess there is no *trial*. Shepard has already been relieved of duty as of the start of ME3.

pathetic. just pathetic.

if you aren't being sarcastic, stfu

If you'd seen the demo, you would know that the game NEEDS something more to set up the intro, instead of just starting off with Shep walking along, relieved of duty and BOOM Reapers invade Earth.

The pacing was terrible, it felt so rushed and came out of no where (and not in a good "oh no the Reapers snuck up on us" way). Hopefully, as an earlier poster said, there is a prologue before the Earth section, where Shepard is questioned about Cerberus and Arrival and, after saying his part, relieved of duty. THEN cut to where the demo starts, and it all makes a hell of a lot more sense.

I've seen the demo and I don't agree with you at all. Your opinion =/= universal truth for all.

Please stay on topic. We're discussing the blog post, not the demo/intro of the game.

Shepard would've been relieved of duty regardless.  Someone isn't going to be active in their post while they're on trial or being investigated.  It's standard proceedure.  Take, for example, a cop shoots a criminal and kills them.  While the department investigates to see if it was a justifiable shooting, the cop would be relieved of duty.

by "prepared" they mean they're ready to evacuate to an undisclosed location as the reapers get closer.

Since we're going to get these every week, will the Cerberus Daily News start updating soon in ME2, or was that plan canceled in favor of these Alliance blog updates?

Well damn. There goes the "ME3 takes place in 2186" theory. Hello Man, I believe I owe you an apology for being so hostile about that in the Deception thread.

Or they know they're not the least bit prepared - but its that age old question.

How would you inform the population of Earth if they were all about to be wiped out?

Answer: You wouldn't. You just keep everyone doing what they're doing and sleeping well at night under a blanket of false security.

 Oh now I remember. Pfft who cares their going to fix deception anyway.

That just made me think how much Shep had aged through the series. No Birthday party on the Normandy.

Lmao, If only they knew that in the future the Reapers steam rolled the Sol system as soon as they got there.

The game could easily still start in 2186 and end in 2187.

Will the Cerberus Daily News still be coming back a couple weeks before Mass Effect 3's release, or is this the affective replacement?

Mac Walters tweeted a few weeks ago that ME3 takes place in 2186.

No offence to them but they've been wrong before.

Pfft, you want a real conspiracy theory?

*cracks knuckles*

This so called "leak" is just yet another case of the Military-Industrial-Complex that controls the Mainstream Media trying to discredit all alternative viewpoints. Anyone who questions the official view is smeared as a conspiracy theorist who believes in giant AI Dreadnoughts!

Anyone who has examined the evidence of the so called "Battle of the Citadel" can see that it was obviously a FALSE FLAG OPERATION. Look at all the contradictions in the official story. There is no way the fleet could have reached the Citadel without FOREWARNING. Why did key MILITARY, INTELLIGENCE AND CORPORATE personnell leave the Citadel just before the so-called "Battle'? How did the "Geth" gain the technology and intelligence to attack the very centre of Council Space?

The only explanation that makes sense is that the "Geth" were actually created by the MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL-COMPLEX to provide an EXCUSE for curbing our liberties and outrageous profiteering!

Don't even get me started on the pathetic attempts to claim the Collectors were behind the abductions of dissidents!

Every Friday, beginning today, we'll be bringing you the latest coverage from the Alliance News Network on the state of the galaxy.

Please find the first post here.

Fridays just got 20% awesomer. Loving the in-world current events theme.

btw Jessica, not sure if you read all our posts but if you run into this one I was hoping if you could answer, you did costumes with that Conrad lady right? I was wondering if we'll see either of you in full Shepard-grade armor for launch or something? Do you still work on stuff like that?

edit: in b4 truthhax = cerberus.

edit-edit: Wow I hope i didnt creep u out with the costume question.

Well I well at least for me never doubted that every single government was trying to cover up everything about the events about Sovereign and the Reapers in order not to cause widespread panic.

I like your idea though. Makes you sound like a crazy person in the ME universe.:D

What would be really cool (and unlikely) is if the Cerberus Daily News were to kick in the two weeks before ME3, as was promised, and publish claims contrary to these ANN reports. Think Cerberus' Fox News to the Alliance's NYTimes.

We can dream.

Sweet! Are these blog posts going to replace the CDN updates that were originally planned for the weeks leading up to ME3?

Yeah I too was expecting the promised news bits that were to lead up to ME3, I don't think that will happen anymore.

I keep seeing Conrad Verner as a Citadel Truther

TruthHax, like others have said, as Wikileaks. Although, Cerberus really could be behind TruthHax and using it as a very clever way of feeding us propaganda and disinformation...

Oh, noes!

I'm wondering if Jessica can answer this.

With this new Alliance News blog, will we still be getting Cerberus News for the two weeks leading up to the release of Mass Effect 3?
