If you'd seen the demo, you would know that the game NEEDS something more to set up the intro, instead of just starting off with Shep walking along, relieved of duty and BOOM Reapers invade Earth.

The pacing was terrible, it felt so rushed and came out of no where (and not in a good "oh no the Reapers snuck up on us" way). Hopefully, as an earlier poster said, there is a prologue before the Earth section, where Shepard is questioned about Cerberus and Arrival and, after saying his part, relieved of duty. THEN cut to where the demo starts, and it all makes a hell of a lot more sense.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a prologue similar to what you described, if only to go over your choices in Mass Effect 2 and it's DLC's.

As much as I hate to say it, we can't really take Shepard's word for anything. Sure, he's a skilled agent, but there's so much information about her that this is probably false as well. I mean, we don't even know whether she was on Mindoir or if he came from a gang here on Earth; there's leaked information about Shepard being attacked on Akuze and commanding the massacre of Torfan.

Besides, given that the Geth were isolated for 300 years, they've had complete access beyond the Veil; if it isn't a Geth construct, it might be based on old Prothean designs they've come across.

I think you're wrong. This dude I met, Conrad Verner, said he personally talked with the Commander on the Citadel and then on Illium. Shepard's a guy. He apparently looks like an underwear model.

Mr. Verner is obviously a trustworthy source.

yeah and I heard Conrad Verner is crazily obessed over Shepard. He just wishes he was like Shepard so he saids Shepard is a he, look at all the choices  Shepard has made and your see what I say is true about her being a female. Only a female would fake their death so they could join a terrorist organization, she shouldve stuck it out with the Council and the Alliance like any man wouldve. Than she also believed in sentient starships, a man wouldnt believe in such a theory. Look at the security mechs thats proof enough that there are no sentient starships out there too.

You can't trust that shepard person! Let's look at this Commander Shepard. They're made a "spectre" then suddenly there is an attack on the Citadel? What's that about? Then thousands and thousands are killed on said attack. After that Shepard suddenly disappears for two years only to reappear when more attacks on colonies are made? Reports of them dying? Pleaaase. Isn't that the least bit suspicious?

Then they are working with a KNOWN Terrorist group, Cerberus. That's all too convenient.Then not only all that but they go around destroying Batarian Colonies? What is with this Shepard person! It's like this one person is trying to ruin humanities place in the galactic community. I swear, if my boyfriend, Roxar, He's a Krogan by the way, if he ever met this Shepard person, I'd have him give them a right punch to the gut. Shepard has caused us far too much trouble as is, they deserve it.

Of course it was Geth, who else would it be? It was big robot ship. I bet Shepard found the geth and convinced them to attack the citadel. You should be protesting that Shepard person, not the citadel!

I heard a rumor that Shepard may have been responsible for attacking the Dracon Trade Center and Allure on Illium. And a Spectre tried to stop the former Commander! Obviously Shepard doesn't care about the rest of galaxy.
