so, i just failed Thanes loyalty mission.
its a bug where if you talk to Bailey about Garrus and Thane at the same time,
and u cant succeed in Thane's mission.
so instead of re-loading and doing it right, i thought, what's the point anyway?
Thane has less than a year to live, so he wouldnt be in ME3 either way.
right? i hope so, cause i liked him, and wouldnt wanna miss the chance to have him with me in ME3
Question about Thane.

thats IS the problem... but nevermind..
so i got the save editor and checked "is loyal" for Thane,
i got a message from Bailey that Thane's son is ok and working or whatever,
on the squad selection screen he had that green arrow saying "loyal",
but Thane's dialogue is still as if we failed the mission,
and his special power is still locked.

When using that save editor, the changes you make aren't actually reflected in-game until you start a new game with that save.
Edit: I used it to change which VS I saved from the first game. Saved Kaiden, regretted it, and then decided to save Ashley instead. It beat having to replay. My second play through on ME2 the changes actually showed up in the game.

i finished the suicide mission, had Thane escort the crew back to the ship. He lived.
so i guess its all good. thanks for the replies all.
(his dialogue is still as if his loyalty mission failed though)
