Man i knew it would be hard but some parts of this game on Insane (i think) are just rediculous. i don't mind fighting tough enimies but i do have a problem fighting unlimited enimies and facing enimies with a ton of health that aren't fun to kill but take forever to take down e.g. tose flying husk things and big mechs.

I can only think of two particularly hard parts. Horizon when you're in the courtyard fighting two Scions and Husks followed by a Preatorian. Then when you are on the derelict collector ship fighting on the moving platforms.
Both are pretty simple as Soldier though with its slow down time ability.

Widow Infiltrator has no trouble either.

I say Vanguard, Soldier or Infiltrator are all great. I also did it on a Sentinel, wouldn't do that again.

Soldier with Widow works wonders. Heightened Adrenaline Rush let's you one shot nearly anything except Scions, Praetorians and YMIR's. And Harbinger, depending on ammo type. Scions are one shottable with the Stasis glitch.

The Praetorians are some what predictable once you get use to them,
Although the Vanguard is the only class that can force a Praetorians to land; in the collector base, you can charge behind and kill those collectors at the far end, then Charge the Praetorians, forcing it to land while you re-position yourself or go pick up ammo XD - it cannot corner you.

I just finished Insanity yesterday as a Soldier, and had not that many problematic sections. The mission where you have to rescue boxes from 3 YMIR mechs (cheesed it with a rocket launcher), Horizon endboss, and the Long Walk part with the husks and the scion. Other than that Adrenaline Rush and Revenant + a good Sniper rifle of your choice, and you're pretty much good to go.

I find it easy enough on the PC and I have the game modded so that enemies regenerate shields just like the player. The trick is to always take Garrus and Miranda with you. Garrus for concussive blast (upgrade to area of effect) and squad armor piercing ammo, Miranda for the passive squad leader damage bonus, warp (unstable) and slam (don't upgrade this), and give both of them overload(area)
Now, these squad mates are pretty good in a fight, but if for some reason you can't keep them alive, just tell them to go wait in a safe corner so you can keep using their powers.
The trick is to get Miranda to overload the shields and for garrus to concussive blast the unshielded people. Try to knock down as many people withing the 3 meter blast radius as you can, and kill them if it's safe to do so. If it's not safe then shoot anyone who wasn't hit by the blast. Take cover when the knocked down people are back on their feet and repeat the steps.
You can take whatever crew you like, but remember that the key is to remove the enemy protection shielding so that your offensive biotics and tech powers can take some of the enemy pressure off so you can attack from cover without dying instantly. I only used Garrus and Miranda as examples because they work best for my particular vanguard and custom game settings.

I know it was crazy, I think it was crazy for a vanguard I heard soldiers can slow time I almost never used my Charge cause it got me super killed. If they would have allowed you to keep your Level on your 2nd replay it would have been alot easier.

Infiltrator or Soldier with the Widow is super easy.

I'm playing insanity as a vanguard and I was wondering what the best charge strategy is. Since all enemies have some sort of protection like armor or shields I'm less inclined to charge into a group.

Hardcore is just tough enough for me, difficult enough that you die on occasion, but not that often that it becomes annoying.

never had a problem on insanity myself.
Mind you I've been playing FPSs since Wolf 3D.

I've never played on anything but insanity, if you know how to play the game it gets quite easy.
There were some tough spots on my first playthrough, but I like my games to have challenge.
Complaining that the hardest difficulty is too hard is a bit silly, it should be hard.

Hardest part for me on insanity was the collector ship.
