No problem. Just thought maybe someone would have info on amazon U.S preorders. And hawk and i both were inaccurate with our post , ur right i had no idea it was UK only and hr had no clue i was from U.S
no harm done![]()
It's fine. As far as I'm aware, Amazon US preorders are fine, US tends to get a very large shipment of games anyway since they are the main consumer body
Hopefully mine will be okay too, I ordered in store and Game confirmed it's still there. Also it was PC edition which I don't think has sold out yet.

Just tried that code, did someone beat me to it??
Someone must have redeemed it then not bothered to comment. Which is very rude... <_<

Forgive me if this has already been asked or if its an obvious question but why would your bank decline to authorise the payment weeks in advance? They don't charge you until the week the game is released so why are they going to the bank to authorise it now? I'm no expert on these things but that does not seem right.JaHawk wrote...
Hey, guess what? They cancelled mine as well!
Why has my order the Mass Effect 3 special edition been cancelled? I placed my order whilst it was listed on the site as in stock and I expect a company, which is usually very reliable, to be able to provide me with a product I order. At the very least, a VALID explanation for the cancelleation would be appreciated.
Regards,
James

Thank you for your email.
I have looked into your order and unfortunately it appears that your bank has declined to authorise payment for your order. This can be for a number of reasons, which we are unable to view due to data protection. Your order has subsequently been cancelled. I recommend that you contact your bank before replacing your order.
I am sorry that I could not assist you further on this occasion.

I cannot "replace" my order. That's the nature of my complaint. If I could simply order another copy of the N7 edition of Mass Effect 3, I would. But it has been removed from your system.
Help?

James

Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately this has been removed from our site as we are out of stock of this product.
I apologise for any disappointment.

How can you be out of stock when you cancelled my order after is was removed from your site? That would suggest that there is at least my copy sitting around unclaimed on your system.

James

Thank you for your email.
Your bank rejected the order in the first instance so the product would have been allocated to another customer unfortunately.
If you have any further queries please don't hesitate to contact us.

I'm sorry, but how is that even possible? The product was removed from your website and then, after that, my order was cancelled. I don't understand how it can have been allocated to another customer after it has been removed from the website.
This really sounds like GAME trying to worm their way out of accepting responsibility for taking more orders than you can accomodate, because I know for a fact that several other Mass Effect fans have had their orders cancelled without warning.
Simply not good enough.

James

Just waiting on a reply from that last one now. This is really not at all good enough considering they are the country's biggest gaming retailer and they get the majority of exclusives.

It doesn't seem right because it smacks of being an excuse.

@ Vault N7: I think someone said on the last page about Gamestation cancelling an order but it doesn't seem as common as GAME doing it.

Has anyone had their preorder cancelled on a non-360 platform?
I highly doubt it because it's still available to pre-order on PS3 and PC.
I imagine XBox 360 is the most popular platform as it was first released on that...
That's where my thinking was going - if someone's had a pre-order cancelled on another platform then it would add weight to GAME's assertion that its banks not authorising transactions that are responsible for cancellations.
If all cancellations are purely on 360 then I can't really take GAME's explanation seriously.
But then again, I used to work for them - this type of thing sounds just like 'em

I think in store, you're totally safe because of the deposit you put down. Wish I'd done it in store straight away...
Don't be hard on yourself, I only pre-ordered in store after someone told me that they asked a Game store employee and they said the £5 deposit was an almost guaarntee of getting the game. If you want to blame anyone, blame Game, they should have known when to stop taking pre-orders months ago.
Another reason instore is safe is because of the reward card link I think.

I really hope everyone gets their copy in the end because this is just a pure disgrace on GAME's part.

I logged into my game account and my me3 n7 preorder is still showing as unshipped.
However above it (ie more recent) is another order with no date or quantity and status cancelled. It's completely unrelated to the me3 order but bizarre as I've not ordered anything from game since i preordered me3. I've fired off an email to them querying this cancelled unknown order.

GAME haven't cancelled my order yet but I too am nervous. Its not the first time GAME have cancelled pre-orders. I had them cancel Gears 3 three times on me...scottish_sin wrote...
Mines hasn't been cancelled but this thread certainly has me nervous. It's just terrible that people have had pre-orders cancelled at all, especially ones that were ordered when they first became available.
I really hope everyone gets their copy in the end because this is just a pure disgrace on GAME's part.
