I thought it may interest you all to know that I just received an email from Mandy Jarvis in response to my questions yesterday.

It was the fault of our fraud protection measures. Due to the limited stock of the item in question, we are obviously a target for fraudulent orders and had to tighten our security settings for orders, and inevitably some genuine customers have been caught up in the process.
In regards to your order in particular, I, unfortunately, cannot re-instate it or place a manual order for you, as every copy of the item in question has been allocated on our system.
Thank you for taking the time to contact Ian Shepard & Myself,
We hope your queries have been resolved to your satisfaction.

So, that's that. No CE for me. Also, it still sounds like a pretty goddamn convenient excuse to me, but there's obviously nothing I can do about it...
I'd ask for an explanation on the whole fraud thing, it sounds like a flimsy catch all excuse. What possible fraud can there be in this case? If they think its from a hacked account then why didn't they just look at your order history or contact you? Is your address still the same as previous orders? If you gather a list of people who have been affected by these unwarranted cancellations you can threaten to go to the papers and facebook about it unless you get satisfactory answers.
I utterly hate being forced back into dealing with Game, I used to pre-order instore with Gamestop and never once had an issue but something tells me I'm not even going to get this in time for release. I picked the free delivery option by accident and can't seem to change that. I ordered a joypad two weeks ago using free delivery, it says 2 day delivery before you order it but once its been posted that changes to 3-5 days. It took all 5 days too.
