GAME UK has cancelled my ME3 Collectors edition pre-order

Please see below for my email confirmation clearly showing both my shipping and billing addresses.
The only address that may have caused issue is the one assigned to my reward card. The reason for this is that recently there was a breach of the Game Group servers in which it was reported that personal information may have been compromised.
However, both the billing (visa) and shipping addresses are correct. Also, if my order has been cancelled why have my reward points not been refunded? Also, why was there no notification of the cancellation???
You assertion that the shipping address was not provided smacks of being a poor excuse as without providing this information the order would not have been processed at all.
Can I ask that you tell me the real reason for the order being cancelled please?
Regards,

They seem to be very good at getting exclusives on CEs. Which is annoying as I'd never use them otherwise: there's nearly always some problem or other where Game is concerned and their customer service is appalling.insomniac13 wrote...
Any reason why GAME is the only UK retailer that sold the Collector's Edition? Baffeling.

Now I'm a little concerned. I pre-ordered the collector's edition with GAME in december but I didn't create an account in order to do so. So there's no way for me to see the status of my order. I received an email at the time saying my pre-order was confirmed. I assume I would receive another email if it was cancelled?

The link should be in your confirmation email as well. I didn't create an account when I ordered with GAME, you just put in your order code and surname.

That's disturbing - it's such an early order date to cancel without explanation. Now you have got me concerned, especially after reading those articles a few days ago about GAME.
I orded the exact same date in June off GAME myself. Heard about problems prior to this and thought I was more than safe as it was preorderd so early too. Now someones got theirs cancelled out of the blue from a July preorder, not a great thing to hear a few weeks off release.
Hope they sort that out for the OP as there's little excuse for cancelling without giving any reason, never mind when it's ordered early.

Call them to check - it's what I did. It takes like 6 minutes to get a hold of someone but you do eventually (don't press any of the numbers just stay on the line).

I got yet another email from them now saying it was me who cancelled or it was my bank not allowing the charge, it's not even out for like 21 days! That's the fourth excuse they've given me. Keep getting replies from different people as well, not sure they actually read my emails.
Trust me, I sent an email and got told that I cancelled (and I didn't). He was actually referring to an old order I made months ago that I cancelled. The email people don't read the emails properly I'm sure or are not actually from England. I would phone (which I did, and got given a swift reply that yes, my product was fine) or visit in-store if you ordered instore (which I also did and got told it was fine).
Sometimes I get really clear/good replies via email. But most of the time they seriously don't look awt your query properly.

There aren't any other specialist game retail chains in the UK: there's Gamestation, but that too is owned by GAME. Gamestop had a few stores in some places but are pulling out - no on else has a national presence.
The only other game stockists with a national presence are supermarkets and HMV, which is gradually turning into a smartphone boutique.
If publishers want to deal with a large specialist retailer in the UK, GAME is the only option.

I guess GAME are just being Phalluses.
I would of ordered with HMV but they didn't have the CE so I went with GAME.

To be honest, judging from the conversation I had with one of the helpdesk people over the phone, I'm not sure the emails actually mean anything. I had three seperate emails from them in response to my question about what pre-order stuff was available, and each answer was equally irrelevant (one email actually claimed the pre-order pack was part of the N7 Edition). The email people really don't have a clue.

I have a number for the Game Group
Tel: 01256 784000
That is NOT the normal customer services number, I just called and it seemed more like a "head office" style number.

i preordered a CE with game in store, must check on it tomorrow
They normally don't promise you a CE when you pre-order in store it's a promise of a normal or CE for a certain console and if they ever do say it's pacificly for a CE they're just lying because they will over book them.
It doesn't help that they won't just sell it to people that have pre-ordered. There is a good chance if I go in on release day and try to buy it they won't check and if they do if I'm reluctant to buy the normal one they some times sell me the CE instead.

I can only assume GAME offered more for the CE exclusive. One would normally assume Amazon would be the obvious choice for this type of thing.
