So that's it, not even an offer to reinstate my order or do anything about it, just "we screwed up, sorry".

So unimpressed, my response below:

None of this adds up. First you told me it was because I had not
provided my shipping address (which I clearly had) and now it's because
of a "system error".



You have still not addressed the issue of my Reward Points not being
refunded despite the order being cancelled and finally you have
apologised but made no attempt to actually correct the issue.



May I kindly suggestion that someone at Game be a little more proactive and actually try to resolve the problems.

Bio Max, I honestly cannot be bothered. I have the CE on order with Gamestop and I think voting with my wallet is a better option that creating a fuss with Game and trying to get them to correct their mistake.

Honestly, that has to be the worst example of customer service I have ever seen in my life.

Its just good to hear that you have a contingency plan.

Yup.

Basically, screw Game. I'm using someone else for my pre-orders in future.

Regarding my contingency, I just have to hope that Gamestop can fulfil the orders.

I remember, that's the same person I had to deal with to find out if N7 CE would be restocked. Indirect little bugger, took seven attempts to get her to actually give me a straight answer and I gave up. Is this the same person giving everyone their "we've F**ked up" messages? I wouldn't be suprised...

To be honest, I wouldn't read too much into the specific names of the people answering the emails. The only thing they're guilty of is not reading the emails properly. Its not their fault that all of this has happened.

Realistically, the real fault lies way higher up the chain.

Turns out my copy was also cancelled and I don't know why.. I didn't even get an email or anything just saids it was cancelled on the website and I made that pre-order way back in June just after they announced it..

Just checked my order status again and it's still there. I ordered mine (CE - Xbox) on June 7th according to my order.

I know for a fact GAME shouldn't have any issues with my account as my address and card details haven't changed since they sent my preorders for Fifa 12, Skyrim, War in the North and Kingdoms of Amalur just fine. Money for the CE is in the bank ready.

Hopefully it stays that way.

Edit: Have you guys tried ringing them up and shouting about it? I remember some people having to do that when DA2 was released.

she answered my question if im getting all the special online promos with my collectors edition order.... because i'm pretty sure i ordered as soon as i heard collector's edition.. not sure if the promos were up by then so i had to double check

Why bother? Easier ti simply take one's business elsewhere and leave Game to their issues, hopefully they will soon disappear for good.

This kind of thing never ceases to amaze me. How does GAME expect to sell more copies than any other retailer if it doesn't even buy in the stock to sell in the first place? Bah.


At least my (PC) preorder is still up.

I was worried about this, so I went into my local store where I have it pre-ordered to check the status of my order. It seemed fine and was showing up okay on the system.

I would imagine his point is that, being a specialist retailer, they're the only ones willing to pay for exclusivity. HMV and Amazon aren't specialist and hence don't have the same pressure.

Basically got no real explanation just there was some mishap and there very sorry for the inconvenience.
It was PC edition ordered in October online.
