GameStation still have the CE listed as available to order on their website: http://www.gamestati...ntifier=178192. I know it's the same parent company, but I called them a while ago and they confirmed my order (made in mid-January) was good to go ... after your post I'm going to call again on Monday though, just to be sure.

Sorry this has happened to you! I hope you get another copy sorted out. I think it's a shame they're the only UK retailers that are able to sell it.

I only pre-ordered mine from GAME on Thursday night, and it seems fine. There's nothing on the web page for the product that says they've used up their allocation - there is on Amazon, and you would expect them to put that information up. It seems strange that they would cancel it so long after it was placed, I hope everything works out.

Thats insane!!!  

I ordered mine on the 9th June so expect I should be Ok.  But if your order was cancelled from July it does make me concerned.

Give Customer Services a call and give them hell.   Especially as people who ordered the CE last week are ok!!!

Yeah. It doesn't actually say how Game informed him of the cancellation, hence why I asked.

Yes online. I didn't realize till yesterday it had been cancelled. I have been without internet for a couple of weeks now.

The receipt you get through game isn't actually a receipt, it says this:

Please note: This email does not constitute confirmation of contract.
Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between you and Us will
take place when We send you an email confirming that the products you have
ordered are being despatched to you, unless We have notified you that We do not
accept your order or you have already cancelled it.

Until you've paid for it - which doesn't happen until close to release - they are under no obligation to honour the pre-order. Online pre-orders didn't require any money up front. Obviously, they'll want to honour these pre-orders for sake of customer loyalty, but they don't actually have any obligation to. I would imagine this is true for any pre-order where no money is paid up front.

Still, I imagine if the OP gets in contact with Game quickly they will be try to help out - they have a pretty good record.

Here in Glasgow I had to pre-order again because they hadn't actually took notice of my order. I'll go in and check with GAME. Hopefully they haven't ****ed mine up.

If this is not sorted out I would find another place to get games. Could you order from another venue like Amazon or through Wal-Mart or even Gamestop? That is crap on there part. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Amazon in the UK don't have CE's. Wal-Mart and GameStop? Well, we're in the UK, and think of the delivery. Plus, the game won't be compatible.

They will tell you anything to make you go away so you done good creating a thread because we can give you a lot of ammo to help fight your corner.

Game CE stopped a three weeks ago because they ran out of stock.  Some people orders at this point were cancelled and there was a thread about it here.

This is possibly when your order was cancelled.  But it shouldnt have been because it should have only been people close to the cut off and not those all the way back in July!


However it then started again two weeks ago when they got a larger stock allocation.  

Dont let these guys give you a rubbish excuse.  They shouldnt have cancelled your order.  Demand to know why it was cancelled and any excuse they give you can fight back.   You know people here ordered a week ago no trouble.  Get a responce!

Pre order the normal edition in store but turn up early on release day, they told me they'd likely get in some spares for the shop floor sale only.
Most of the DLC if thats what your mainly interested in will probally be sold as pack later on anyway think only the collectors armor was something that didn't later become available but I doubt they'd do the same to a character/mission, maybe the dog/guns though.

It could be that the people at the shop are talking about the pre-order allocation for that particular shop, and that online pre-orders are drawn from a separate "batch", for lack of a better word.

Yes all three appear on their website. I have since tried to pre-ordered twice again (X360) and everything went fine and I received the typical email confirming my pre-order.

Then, after a few hours I get a second email telling me my pre-order has been cancelled. Giving no explanation.

In GAME's physical stores they told me this morning (4th February) they had run out of the X360 version. They still had PS3 and PC versions to pre-order; but I am only interested on the X360 version.

Just checked and nothing has changed, also had mine on order since 12th june.
