Wow, no idea why EA would pull an exclusive deal with GAME when they are in such dire straits. Chris needs to get on top of this.

It's been happening for quite a while now, weeks where quite few people have had theirs cancelled by GAME the CE's ordered with them (but only CE's I have seen and haven't seen any about normal editions mentioned). I am beginning to think they believe they are an airline and that they are overbookng seats (stock of CE's in this case) incase others cancel theirs. It's a bad way to do it imho. They admitted to my friend they allowed more preorders of the CE than they could fulfill.

I think EA and other publishers including CDPR are only giving CE/DE editions to GAME (UK) with additional perks/bonuses more so than others to bolster GAME's sales which was down 14.7% over christmas which led to credit insurance being dropped with them, because GAME are such a huge video game retailer the publishers want them to stick around and helping to fix their sales issue by making them more profit putting their CE's and DE's on GAME primarily/only in case of UK.  However from what I have read they have had their credit insurance put back for time being by whichever group or company provides it.

Thats just my opinion of what I think is happening but it's just a guess. I don't think GAME will go under by any stretch, they just suffered same fate as all other retailers end of last year which was drop in sales even the biggest supermarkets suffered bigger drop in profits than in last 20+ years. GAME will be around for a long time to come due to being so huge and having so many stores (assets) that worst case scenario they downsize.

Only the Game group is selling the CE in the UK which is pretty bad considering they are in massive debt and will most likely go bust this year. If they do go, hopefully EA drops this stupid exclusive rubbish for one retailer when it comes to the UK.

Hugely frustrating as GAME UK is the only retailer in the whole UK whose selling the Collector's Edition. I have written to them and I'm awaiting a reply. I went this morning to a GAME shop in Edinburgh and they said they had reached their "pre-order allocation" and could not help me. I could no longer buy the bloody game.

I'm devastated. Regular client of GAME UK since 2006.

out of interest did you pay a deposit ?, because my local game store has said the only way to 100 % garuntee a preorder is to put a £5 deposit down.

Op 2 questions, these 2 questions depending how you answer would cancel your order

Do you have money in the account you used to make the order?

Since December ive had game "test" my card and withdraw £1 out each month, the only game i have ordered is ME3 so im assuming they are testing the account making sure it is active (the money goes back in a few days later)

second question

What is the expiry date on your card?

this would also be why the order could get canceled

i don't think the Op issue is just game canceling random orders i believe there more to it


Also Op why was your order for 69.14? was this a combind order or did you use reward points

I notice, from people complaining before this on Game website itself, that they have a habit of cancelling pre-orders if it's been ordered at the cheaper price than the current price, your's was preordered when it was cheaper (even though it's only 0.75 cheaper), and they want you to order at the more expensive price. Of course they won't tell you this.

Yeh I thought that was the case too. I just wasn't sure because live in welsh valleys, sometimes (feels) like we are still awaiting the invention of the wheel and concept of fire here. Though I am exaggerating (slightly).
