You have my sympathies with a really screwed up retailer. To pre order something practically the day it became available... then wait this long only to cancel it... its totally despicable.

If it turns out you can't get the CE from GAME UK you could always try preordering from the aussie GAME website. I've ordered stuff from the UK store and had no problems playing the games or using dlc here in oz so I would assume the reverse would also be true.

I feel for you OP. Game is probably the worst UK retailer i've ever come across and i'll be happy when they go out of business. You let them have it!!

I'm seriously concidering screwing GAME and just going for it here in Denmark, where the CE is available everywhere! It is £13 more expensive, but i'd rather pay that than having my pre-order cancelled a few days before release day, rendering me without an CE at all... Plus it would be here on release day!

Just had a panic attack and checked my GAME account, GAME's become terrible lately. Couple of weeks back I bought a 4000 odd Microsoft points card off them and when I got home there wasn't a code in the box. Went back to the shop and they just said it wasn't their problem and I'd have to speak to Microsoft!? Took nearly two hours of complaining in the shop to get those points!

sucks to hear op,never had them cancel a pre-order before but thet have screwed one up before,it's best just to pre-order in store that way they can't email you to cancel it

Someone is going to find a way to blame Bioware for this :-P

EDIT: I say that cause something similar happened with SWTOR collectors edition preorders one time and people miraculously came up with theories as to how it was Bioware's fault

Mine has been cancelled, too. I checked my order with Game and just got a reply:

Thank you for your email.

I have looked into your order and I can see that your order has been cancelled as per your request.

Obviously I made no such request! Sounds like something pretty screwy is going on over at Game.

I'm still waiting to hear from GAME about my order made last July. They have no record of my email address when I try to search for my order via the website so I'm not feeling confident at the moment

GAME.co.uk used to be pretty good, but they haven't half deteriorated in the past year or so. My pre-ordered copy of LA Noire never arrived, and it took them a month to send me a replacement; my pre-ordered copy of Deus Ex: HR was five days late, and GAME call centre staff got really shirty with me when I had the temerity to complain that an item I had pre-ordered to get on release date should have arrived, you know, on release date; and they didn't send me my dlc codes for Witcher 2 until a week of near incessant e-mail badgering on my part :/

I'm only pre-ordering ME3 collector's ed from them because of the exclusive content, but it's the last game I'll be getting from them, I've cancelled several other pr-orders. Amazon or Steam all the way from here on in, just hope GAME doesn't screw this last one up before it goes under. Hope it gets sorted for you, OP.

Searching for your order via the website doesn't require your email address, it requires your order number and last name. Where are you looking?

DayusMakhina - I cant find a page on the site that allows input of the order number without first logging in. If I follow the check order status link on my original email it just redirects me to the home page. I'm assuming the link may now be defunct due to the site being overhauled recently.

Ah yes, that makes sense. I preordered after the site overhaul so I have a working link, here it is:

I ordered mine in June and checked the website a couple of weeks ago and my order had been changed to cancelled. I never recieved an e-mail telling me it had been cancelled and only found out because i checked the website.

I reordered it and my new order is showing as ok so hopefully that one will be fine.

Wish the CE was available at a more reliable shop though.

Game is having serious credit issues atm, & will be closing 60 of its 300 stores before 2013!

In the short term, they can only get credit to buy/stock games if they have a big enough demand for them, so ME3 orders *should* be fulfilled. They said that in the short term, you wont notice any difference. But I wouldn't bet on their current trading model to last much past the summer!!!

DayusMakhina - thanks for the link. Unfortunately when I input my order number and name I get an "problem processing my request" - this is bull**** In the unlikely event that GAME dont go bust this year I wont be using them again.
