ME2's level cap of 30 was made for ME3.
Because when you import, you'll start from where you left in terms of levels.
Well that would make sense for the people who imported, what about the people who don't have imports? They'll have to start from lvl 1 won't they?

Why is there two achievements for beating the game on Insanity...?
Smart move; on my insanity run in ME2 I just rushed through the game without doing any LM or even some recruitement mission....now my karma is striking back

There is one little problem with the whole reaper controlled systems though. If you plan to run through the main game first and then side quests second you will lose some side quests because they are sometimes failed if you don't do them before the reapers invade that territory. For example, lets say corporal toombs and his merry bunch of mercenaries are helping out a colony who are under attack by Cerberus. If you do a certain number of main missions the reapers will occupy the zone where corporal toombs is, the reapers destroy the colony and kill anyone who lives there resulting in the side quest failed because you took too long to help him and now hes dead. This is just a speculation example not an actual side quest!!roflchoppaz wrote...

Escape a Reaper in the galaxy map.
Holy ****, what!?
whenever you fly through reaper-controlled space you have a chance of being pursued. what follows is a minigame through which you try to escape. it has not yet been presented (to my knowledge, at least).
Oh. Wow, that's neat.

I did every single thing because my insanity run was also my 'canon' run for ME3. Not my best decision ever.Vapaä wrote...

Reaper control only changes when you complete main quests. In between, you have all the time in the world for side missions. Or so I've heard.Derahu wrote...

That is what I'm saying though for people who like to do the main quest first would be forced now to do side quests in between in fear that the quest won't be there if they proceed any further in the main story.Candidate 88766 wrote...

But, looking at the achievment list I can't applaud enough the decision that they've made to have the multiplayer achievments also have a single player trigger.
Bravo Bioware, Bravo.

Well, yeah I guess so. If you rush through and do all the main missions, certain areas will keep changing and the side missions available will change.Derahu wrote...

With the Battle Scarred achievement; if the description follows the same thing that we could do in Mass Effect 2 then importing a ME3 Shepard to start the New Game+ will unlock the achievement.

I'm interested in the Kill X Enemies achievements, they seem to suggest we'll be fighting a lot more foes in ME3.

Wow, that is a really nice achievement list. I'm guessing on PS3 we will get 3 Gold Trophies (Insanity, Unwavering and Master and Commander).

250 enemies one will be the first everyone gets anyhow, that one will be a cakewalk.

It might not have been possible. Also, they seem to wanted to make sure everyone could get it. Thus, meaning, the achievement wouldn't work in the PS3 version.
Here's a similar situation: Epic Games wanted to allow you to get a reward Gears of War 3 players for playing Bulletstorm. but since Bulletstorm was published by EA and Gears of War is a Microsoft property, they were unable to link data to Gears of War 3 from Bulletstorm.
It could be that there was nothing recorded in the end game save data for ME2 that ME3 could identify as having imported a ME1 character into ME2. I hope that makes sense, it made more sense in my head. I'm sure there is a better way I could phrase it, but I don't know how.
Achievements:
18 story related achievements. I sure hope that's a sign of how long the story is, there's more than ther were in ME2 for story achievements.
The exact same achievement for the second game, "return to active duty", and the same one that's been in the first two games, Paramour, really?
Then the rest are all completionist and combat achievements. That's awesome that the multiplayer achievements also have an equivalent single player achievement. Wish more games did that.

I wouldn't say it's spoilers. It's too vague. Thankfully no multiplayer only achievements as well.
I think I saw one that was Multiplayer only "Attain the highest level of readiness in each theater of war".
Um... no... You don't have to play multiplayer for that. Bioware said you could reach max readiness just by playing the single player.

The one achievement that still confuses me a little is the battle scarred achievement. I assuming the promoting a MP to galaxy at war must mean importing your character from MP into SP. The second half must mean start a NG+ with a ME3 character correct me if I'm wrong on that achievement.
No, that's the one for importing your character from ME2. The first part of the achievement is for those that potentially are starting with ME3 and not importing their character, thus giving them another way to get the achievement.
