The whole point is not "all charcters can't have equal screen time" -  we al get that. it's the point that Bioware hasn't even attempted to try and incoperate different characters from different fannbases (ME1 base and ME2 base)

Instead, what we're left with is the furthest pole possible from "equal": A team composed souly of ME1 crew squaddies with not a singe ME2 chacter among them, "not all charcters can have equal screen time" then why the hell do the ME1 cast have so darn much screen time? That's waaaay over even.

You seem to be operating under the false dichotomy that people are either fans of the ME1 or ME2 characters. You also seem to be ignoring the fact that Tali and Garrus were in fact also in ME2, as well as that it is harder to incorporate ME2 characters because they could be dead.

Problem is, it's really hard to like Tali and Garrus if you didn't play ME1.  Garrus only had three conversations with male Shep.  Tali is a LI, but her personality and love interest is really connected to the ME1 plot.

I played ME1 so that isn't an issue for me, but I can certainly see the other side.

Yes, all fiction works best if every character has an exactly equally-sized part. This is done in every great book, movie, TV show, etc. Having some characters be more involved with the plot and have greater importance is something that only trash writers try and do.

Sarcasm is all well and good, but you don't need to be nasty.

^ The Miranda Thread is being distorted by very pessimistic people who are causing me to worry a lot. :(

And I don't like the fact that the Normandy has become another SR1.

Too bad, the majority of ME fans want the Normandy Blue and the majority of ME fans don't have Miranda in ME3 anyway.

How do you know that?

Excuse me? How do you know that?

Please don't pull things out your *** unless it's backed up by evidence. Thanks Image IPB

No, but it sure got the point across.

It sounds like almost every former squaddie will be a temp party member or extra-party NPC for a misson.

Which is the only right way to do it.

It's patently obvious that some characters (e.g. Liara, Mordin) are far more important to the plot than others (e.g. Jacob, Samara). Characters exist to serve the plot, not the other way around.

I guess so.

In MY perfect world, there's a way to get only the squad members I want as full-timers.

But, like I said, that's MY perfect world.

I guess I can live with this. It's better than simple cameos and one-off scenes like I thought they were gonna get.

Yay! More "My favorite character could beat up your favorite character" nonsense.

Wise words.

Yeah the Normandy SR1 was Dark like some Evil War ship. The Normandy won't be the Same Either way. We're placed back in the Alliance Unwillingly. Why couldn't we just work on our own, neither Alliance nor Cerberus.

I mean, why would I want to go back to an organization that doubted everything about the reapers?

In me1 you're mostly with the council. in me2, cerberus. so u havent really answered to the alliance in a game yet.

Also: the alliance believes the reaper threat (ie. anderson, hackett)
