Bioware, why are you doing this to Ashley?

What we should agree on is the reasoning given behind the armor being flawed. Is it that hard to give a real reason behind the new duds? Because all the female characters we've seen art book pages from have said "We needed her to be sexy, so X" Come on, Bioware. I can come up with a reason for the armor in two seconds that would do wonders for negating this crap.
Example:
When we approached Ashley's design in ME3, we needed to give her something unique. Something special. She was, after all, one of the Alliance's top operatives. In drawing out concept art, we looked into a more formal look; something she could wear to important meetings while still being able to defend herself at a moment's notice.
Now was that hard?

I don't care anymore, the thing is its in the game and isn't going anywhere. Be disappointed in the company if you want, its marketing and it works. Result of society yatta yatta, appealing to teenage masses yatta yatta, complaining doesn't get you anywhere.
Technically, if Ash's outfit has been revised, complaining got people somewhere indeed.
Technically if BioWare took into account how much flak the outfit got in the first place, they would have removed it entirely for something conservative.
I was going to respond, but quoting it would put me down more than I need to. Regardless, I agree with you. They wanted it, its going in. This community group can complain until they make the first Character pack DLC.

Ash is more attractive in ME1. Much more attractive.
I would dare say she was much sexier too.

According to the codex human/animal hybrids are specifically banned by the Systems Alliance. So no furries.

True. I never said BioWare is good at it. But from the looks of it, they are as hell are trying hard. To bad they still don't get it. Ah well, I honestly couldn't care less personally.
Anyway, Ashley DOES have a full-armor set in combat in ME3. I've seen plenty of footage with her in full-armor. So yeah, this sexy suit is probably something unlockable, or perhaps something she wears on a date or something. Heck, I don't know and I don't care.

I usually skip the romance and sex scenes in game. Ashley is only around because I flipped a coin on it this time. Unfortunately, Modio is not hooked up and I don't have a hex editor. So, I would have to do another 100% ME 1 run, and I don't feel like spending the next five days on casual ME 1 with an Adept again. Same reason why I got off of my new Soldier in ME 2.

What's getting people - or me, at least - riled up over ME3 outfits isn't so much that they're sexy. It's the 'character X needed to be sexy, so we sexed them up' isn't even community speculation. It's literally described as being the justification for character design. So when stuff like this comes out, yeah, people're going to get annoyed by it.
This, a hundred times this. Oh Bioware, what were you thinking...
Indeed. Hell I don't even mind a sexy ashley in the right time and place, but the way they protray her, and hell the way they specifically said they designed her for sexy..... Gah bioware why?
