Aren't you also planning to kill half the squad on the SM for similar reasons?

Just Mordin and maybe Garrus. Though in the process Zaeed and Kasumi will probably bite it too. Legion wouldn't be recruited and even Grunt might be left in the tank. Not 100% on that.

I thought you were also going to kill Tali for how she treats Xen in ME3.

And I didn't know you had a problem with Mordin.

Thank you. I was hoping someone would finally bring this up.

I think Mass Effect needs a counterpart to the Asari.

The Manari.

A race of muscular, toned Mediterranean-tanned not-at-all-male hunks. They should be chivalrous and gallant and rougishly dashing, living many times longer than other species while always doing the masculine better thing.

That's kind of what drell are, just not as extreme.

Yeah, females exist, but if we never see them then it doesn't matter.

A boob job? Honestly?

God, what is wrong with you people trying to justify your complaints.

Would it make you feel better if they made armor more revealing and take out the idea of casual outfits?  Can Ash not live it up and change her style?  A lot can happen in two and a half years and the first thing you jump to is, "Ash has become a **** because of this tight outfit."

It's the change-of-VAs issue.

What exactly is so tasteless about it? It's just a form-fitting outfit. Armors in ME1 had it also.
This is nothing worth concerning over.

Yeah... skirts.

If I recall, they had armor in their asses.

I'm not talking so much about the chest as the:

"has no pants, needs no pants" and the:

"Hawke, i think I'm falling for you." Two days later, talking to Zevran. "Hey, I remember you. Let's f*ck! Hawke, wanna join? No? oh well, we'll have fun without you."

That's just how her character was.  You can't expect every woman to be prude and tasteful.

So in your mind, not having sex with random people from your past--while in a relationship--is being "prude?" Different strokes for different folks, I guess...

If you are in a relationship with her you can tell her no in the meeting with Zevran and in response she expects some alone time with you later. However, I love the responses in that scene by your companion characters and just how ridiculous it is so I always go for threesome.

I'm quite sure that her outfit has been recolored, you're like seven months late, buddy.

it has, as x3dsix said on the first page (clearly got lost within everyone else complaining). Just to clarify:

Image IPB

Obviously it's not the best screenshot, but that is her casual outfit from when you run into her on Earth, as shown in the James Vega Featurette. As you can see, it's clearly been recoloured from that original screenshot from months and months ago.

Fine, that's an improvement, but the complaint about the overall treatment of women in the franchise still stands. The aforementioned "professional female npc in bathing suit top" is new, anyway.

BW will take back all the female objectifying in the ME 'verse, when you ladies stop hanging all over jersey shoreesque douche bags.

If you must have primped men, then we must have tasteless asshots.

Actually I take back my criticism. No skin shown in backside area. Well I guess I was wrong. It's just the opening post showed skin and I thought her backside was exposed.

The asscrack is not only visible but accentuated by the color. It's really not much different to me.

*ahem*
I'd like to introduce you to Isabel.
Mass Effect is light years ahead of DA.

What?  No way!  The desire demon is the most tasteful  and dignified character ever!

Manari would be remarkable for their unique ability to mate with anyone of any race or gender, able to impregnate their partner without even having to touch the other person at all.

No. I don't think that would even happen in my ME3 because I'd never make peace between the geth and quarians.

I don't have a problem with Mordin as a character, but if his voice actor isn't coming back then I don't want Mordin back.

It's a matter of principal.

The only reason I was planning on getting rid of Tali/Garrus was to prevent the romance.

I don't want to romance Tali anymore but if I don't then she gets with Garrus and that is cringe worthy.
Thing is, I have to find a way to roleplay it. Killing off Tali is
hard because there's no reason my Shepard wouldn't shout at the trial
and get her off scott-free.

Wow, the transition is really sad.

I wish i could find the picture.

I remember watching a video about character design, and the gentleman in the video mentioned how they had trouble designing female turians, or something? It bothered me, because I assumed they had trouble making them look "attractive," as if that's necessary, IDK. I believe he said something about "lipstick." Yeah. It bothers me. *shrugs*

That interview hurt my soul.

They can create so many unique and brilliant designs but when it comes to a female alien it's "idunnolipsticklol?"

I'm glad I never played ToR or Galaxies now.

I do like the new appearance of Ashley - or rather I like the look, but not for Ashley.

Even Ashley herself said in ME1 that she would never dress and primp herself like a braindead bimbo.

Guess the shiney PVC was too much for her to resist.

Welcome to my world, every time I finish the Suicide Mission. I don't want to end a file with no casualties because I find it banal from a storytelling perspective but Shepard sure as hell wouldn't orchestrate any of their deaths. Least, not mine. Yours might be into that sort of thing depending on your mood.

I've been avoiding the BSN for months because of the spoiler leak, but this is making the rounds on Tumblr today and I feel like I need to comment on it here in the hopes that someone on the dev team might see it and perhaps give it some thought.

Why, guys? Why would you do this? It's a freaking butt window. Sure she technically has pants on but you can't tell me that the shape of the negative space on her butt is designed that way for any reason other than pure sexual titillation, and as a female gamer, it makes me feel gross and offended.

I don't mind that Ash wears a casual outfit in her free time, I don't mind that she lets her hair down and puts makeup on. I get that she's a love interest and is supposed to be attractive, I really do. But this is downright tasteless. Why can't you make Ashley sexy without this much objectification? She's a strong, beautiful woman and you're seriously doing her a disservice with this. After ME2, I fully expect to see lots of shots wherein her butt window is lasciviously caressed by the camera and it irritates me. Imagine if one of the male characters had a brightly colored codpiece, or even better, imagine this exact outfit on a guy. You'd probably think it was ridiculous, so why is it a-ok for Ash? I'm not even going to get into why a certain other female character appears to be wearing a bathing suit in a professional setting. I really wish you guys would reexamine your treatment of female characters in the IP, because I am pretty forgiving, but this is offensive. When I look at the difference between Bioware's two major original IPs with regard to respect for female (and homosexual) characters it just blows me away. Dragon Age is not perfect in this respect but it's lightyears ahead of Mass Effect.

I don't expect my opinion will have any impact on the game but please, just think about your female fans once in awhile. We do exist, and we don't appreciate when you do things like reduce female characters to their t&a or ignore FemShep's existence. My enthusiasm for this game is waning the more incidences like this I see, and I KNOW I'm not alone in this.

No.

Ash has become sexy because in BioWares own words "Ash needed to be sexy."  They gave her these changes because they wanted to give her these changes - changes which include a boob job and an arse job.

The issue at hand is the fact she didn't need them, and it exists for the sake of it existing rather than any particular reasoning.
