If they were evil and indoctinated troopers, she would.

But they're not. Were they, this wouldn't even be a question.

"Hate" would imply they succesfuly got a rise and that just wouldn't happen with someone as manly as I am.

Oh god.  Women don't... get a rise out of you... because you're--hahaha oh god--you're too manly...

*WHEEEEZE*

OH MY GOD SEB YOU ARE LIKE SO FABULOUS YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW IT AAAHH YOU'RE PRECIOUS <3

He's fully aware of his awesomeness. ;) Which, frankly, I think should be obvious.

I don't
see why this sort of thing should be specific to the BW. Any successful
fiction evokes some degree of emotional attachment to
characters.

But you gotta admit that the folks here go waaaay beyond "some degree of emotional attachment."

Take me, for example: MY SQUADMATES ARE MY PRECIOUS BABIES.

The greater the degree of attachment, the more successful the written character is. A truly masterful writer can rock the world and rule the hearts of humans, which has happened repeatedly. That's the whole point and the essence of artist's power, and this is what every writer should strive for.

I cant seem to find this 'Tinktank' user from the list. Is that his/her full name? Is it spelled correctly?

Judging from how some posters here are flocking to Cthulhu, like animals cuddling with each other when one gets threatened, I can only imagine how impactful and traumatizing this supposedly banned user must have been to their minds.

Help me out here. Please. I'm new and want to fit in.

Honey, you're being too obvious.

That's what I said.

No I mean he's gay.  Or pretending to be for gits and shiggles.  Still not sure if trolling.  Either way, hilarious.

I don't mean it as an insult (I'm bi, myself), but it's just really funny because he presents himself as incredibly homophobic.

Well obviously, BW's done a pretty good job with that so far, eh?

Most love interests wouldn't be too happy over Shepard sacrifices tons of people for them.
Jack & Miranda being possible exceptions.

I'd do it anyway. They'll forgive me in time for the pre-suicide mission cuddle scene, Ash taught me this in ME1 and it is a lesson held dear to the heart.

For some reason she's less forgiving about having friends she doesn't approve of, but I'm sure I can wear her down in ME3. Who can stay mad at the Shep?

I'm always flattered when I'm called honey, even if it's by a hideous circus freak lady.

Flattered. Not flatteNed. Or is it both in your case? :)

Saving Ashley feels odd (unromanced) because Kaidan is more useful in just about every way.

I'm not too surprised he'd want to change the stipulation to make saving his LI easier. It's...disconcerting to say the least.

Witcher 2 actually has this scenario of "this or saving your LI" and naturally I took the "bros before hoes" option without a moment's hesitation.

I actually mentioned earlier how Alpha Protocol has something similar as well.

And you just spoiled TW2 for me; console version still doesn't come out for a few months. I don't mind too much though, seeing as I often spoil myself of things (ie ME3)

"Save your LI or save multiple people" is a boring and overused choice.

Online diagnosing, eh? We'll gaze on your userpic and know everything about you? You must be quite a pro.

Seeing how lots of people are attached to potential (headcanon, fanon, fan work) rather than actual content, I wouldn't say so. BW is good at beginnings, though.

Don't worry, what I said is still vague enough not to be seen to far in advance. ;)

Not an avid user of forums so I actually still picture people saying the things they post and the hell WHY SO F£€£!! CUTE?!

Even when they're flaming you.. 69669

Err nvm. Back on topic I'm pretty sure I'll go with practical concerns firstly, cos I am not much of a lover boy anyway. Not the kind to regret past decisions so I'll pick the one that's more justifiable incase some irritant wants put me down for not feeling sorry.

Depends on LI , Shepard and soldiers

I think winning a war is still more important than getting laid though.

Not sure if this is directed at me. Yes I tend to be homophobic,  I don't have anything againts gays just that a dick near my bum makes me scream and run it's not how I roll ya know.

Anyway my last post was here was from my own headcanon it just popped into my head as typed.
Sorry if I upset the natural order of things here, I'm half  crazy I think.

Now back to the save your LI or the platoon, when I first played ME1 and got to Virmire I sent Kaidan with Captain Kirrahe cause I thought they'd all die and I wanted Ash to live. But then when I had to chose to save Ash or Kaidan I ended up saving Kaidan because I thought I'd save Captain Kirrahe and the STGs, it didn't work I must not have done enough early on to save 'em.

SO it depends who's in this paltoon
1. if the Platoon is just a bunch of random redshirts I let 'em die,
2.If the Platoon has Wrex, Samara, and Kelly Chambers in it the Platoon gets saved I'd be bummed if Liara or Jack died but these members in the platoon make the choice for me.
3.If Undina's in the Platoon the platoon dies no matter who else is in it. Kelly, Samara, and Wrex can die because Udina is in the platoon with 'em

Hats off to BW for making Udina likely the most hated character in the ME unversse

I'd probably save a squaddie over a handful of nameless troopers, but it depends on the circumstances.
