I don't know. Obviously it isn't me. Its never been me. Since I am smart and funny, but not particularly handsome or wealthy, I am forced to assume my lack of looks and cash flow to be major impediments to obtaining a relationship.

I've seen this over a dozen times. So I agree, especially im young and have personally seen this.

You lack confidence, for one. That's not very attractive to most people.
People (not just women) respect those who are confident in themselves and are willing to take a stand. Those who concede every time someone disagrees with, chastises, or makes demands of them, or who spend too much time "bootlicking" (as a user in another thread put it) can't expect to command much respect or loyalty from others, women included.
If that makes one a "total ******", then so be it.

See other thread. A lot of us just do not want guys that are clingy and desperate acting...as most of the nice types seem to be. Be confident and don't act like a groveling wimp.

I don't have time for confidence. Between work and school, I don't have time for anything outside eating, sleeping and basic hygiene. I've pretty much given up on happiness, at least for the foreseeable future.

That can be true, but if so, do you really want to pursue that type of woman? Don't sell yourself short, doll. Every person has something unique and valueable to offer in a romantic relationship.
