My reasons for saying this are different. I'm not a hopeless romantic. I'm not someone  bitter from past relationships. I'm not speaking from an ignorant viewpoint either. I'm different from all those people. Again I don't believe in <3 so no comment on that.

Other than the fact that there's 3.5 billion women out there I'd say it's hard to tell sometimes. I'm one of the lucky ones because I got "it" early as far as recognizing subtleties and the like. Women like confidence and intelligence. And above all else decisive men who respect themselves and know their own worth.

The "nice guys finish last" adage comes from dudes who fail by putting women on pedestals. It happens far too often and women get bored of it especially if it seems like you're coming off as desperate. Be selective and clean yourselves up. Start thinking you're worth something and you will be. Don't put up with bull**** either. I know where to draw my lines and when to say no. And I usually pick the woman I'm dating not the other way around. Be selective like that. Let her know from the beginning that your not into passing her "little tests" and approach her in a friendly and flirty way.

Though I've been with her for 5 years (damn time does fly) I was pretty successful with women when I was single. I'm giving solid advice here. I should start charging (j/k).

I would say the number one thing is that they want a guy (or girl, but the thread is about guys after all) that dont put all women in one camp and think that they all are the same.

My ideal man is someone like this;

- He'll be completely loyal and trustworthy. I'll know, beyond any doubt whatsoever, that he's in love with me and that he'll do whatever he can for me and the relationship.

- He'll be honest, but know when there are times you need to be sensitive to my feelings.

- He'll be tough when he has to be, but soft at all the right moments (I like cuddles and making love and the sickly stuff).

- He'll be confident and self-assured, but not to the point of complete arrogance.

- He'll know how to make me laugh until I can breathe.

- He'll want to strive for better in life; for himself and for us.

- He'll be brave enough to make some decisions on his own, but not be afraid to lean on me or come to me if he's struggling with anything.

- He'll know how to turn up the force and the heat in the bedroom as needed; and work out just the right balance when it comes to frequency.

- He'll have complete and utter faith in me when I need him to.

Jesus, I sound like such a girl. Or would that be if I just said "A big penis and lots of money" ? I'm never sure anymore...

And what do men want in a woman? Someone who'll do as their told, never speak their mind and be willing to take it up the... :pinched:

I agree on this. Money and focusing on looks isnt everything. The shallowness doesnt help much when you acnt have normal converstaions with the one you like/love.
