She's got what was coming for her! My Shepards wouldn't do it but watching her punched by some Krogan at the SB base, was priceless! haha

I'm having trouble seeing your second video, loading slow, but please show me a video of someone who would be as well-known as Shepard--basically everyone important knows him--who did something like that and got away with it.

^ That's a singer. Someone who's "rep" grows the more erratic they act. Not an extremely well-known soldier and political figure. It would be like a general punching someone.

How about Buzz Aldrin punching this moon-landing conspiracy theorist?

Second one is a lead singer of a samba group which has sold millions of disks here and then he moved on to politics and is a very well know congressman here. Particularly by his crazy fansgirls. There are also reports of his wife-beating habits so those reporters from a comedy show, who are always picking on everybody, sometimes find theirs too.

Buzz Aldrin is an astronaut. Not a military figure that regularly kills people. Gonna be a whole lot more scrutiny on someone that kills people than on someone who flies to the moon.

And, he doesn't have a political position, does he?

Sir/Madam was that question necesary?

I also fight agitated, half-baked feminism whenever I find it - as a hobby.

Nah, just checking.

Anyway, it's super rude to punch anyone at all. Someone with manners should calmly and politely settle their differences on online forums.

Or...

Lovely idea; do have a good, sophisticated time. I shall stay here and finish sewing this floral design into my bonnet while complaining that William gets terrible grades in school.

I'd love it if we get the option to challenge the Turian Councilor to a duel.

There is no question that the psycho is seriously provoking Mr. Aldrin (if that's actually him - how could anyone tell?) - but decking a man still lacks all self control. It's beneath Buzz Aldrin - it's beneath a fictional character who's actions are chosen by me.

"Oh, you hurt my feelings - I will now lash out with violence."

And still - Buzz Aldrin is an old man - his punch was probably little more "damaging" than being hit with a bean bag. It's clear that the weirdo accusing him of all that nonsense barely even reacts.

====

Shepard is a trained military specialist - his punches are far more damaging - by evidence of him knocking Jilani to the ground.

That - and he's a pitiful, undisciplined soldier.

I truly believe that if someone is being an intentional dick, you have all the right in the world do deck them in the face.

Bullrushing her on her own show always seemed more of a victory to me than acting like an alpha male ape and falcon pawnching her to the floor.

Perhaps I will change my mind if given the opportunity in ME3

No I wouldn't punch al-Jilani. Not only is it stupid and vulgar, but she's the only Mass Effect character (well there is Zaeed Massani) with an Arabic sounding name and I dislike what they are doing with her.

David al Talaqini died warning Shepard of the geth on Feros. Granted, his death was almost as hilarious as Jenkins'.

Yea I feel so represented.

Yeah, this. :?

I'm hoping this is an option in ME3. Sometimes you just need to drop the hammer and dispense some indiscriminate justice. It's always been my plan to punch al-Jilani at the end should she be a continuing game troupe. Was kind of hoping it'd be the case. Though I'll probably end up going ****gon as usual for the snarky you got served beyotch remark.  Not sure why this always becomes a moral discussion when you already shoot and or beat plenty of other women in the game. Heck one of those mercenary women could have been preggers! Think about that ya bunch of evil basterts.

Punching people is A-Okay with me if their douchebagery is great enough. And part of the charm of video games is that you don't get sued for it. At least not yet anyways.

going ****gon

?

Edit: The contention isn't that she's a woman, but that she's an unarmed, untrained civilian. She's obnoxious, but not especially so - even for a dirt mag reporter. Hitting her because it's funny is one thing, but claiming she "deserved it" and saying this would be an appropriate dispensation of justice IRL is another.

Never hit the venomous b**ch in the first two games, preferring to make her look like the idiot and typical media hack that she is. But if she's anything but civil and polite in the third installment, I'm going to give her the decking she so richly deserves.

You seem to have me confused with somebody who thinks that punching Khalisah is a Good Idea. And I don't freelance-argue for other people.

But you asked for an instance of somebody well-known punching somebody else on camera and getting away with it. And there you go.

if we don't get the option to punch her I'll be pissed. We could do it in the other two games, I want to finish strong.

No, she doesn't deserve to be hit for those interviews.
She deserves to be beaten in her choice of battlefield - wordplay. Using either mode of persuasion (especially with Intimidate), you manage to make her look like an idiot. That hurts a reporter much, much more than a slap.

Anyways, it's funny how people react to hitting a woman in the game. I mean it's not something you do, it's not right, not one bit, still, it's a game where you can commit genocide and people have a problem with a slap. :)
