Outsmarting her is way more satisfying to me. My renegade femshep punched her but that's because my renegade femshep is an unstable, immature witch who has no problem assaulting an unarmed civilian for getting smart with her. I do this knowing full well that my femshep is being a complete and total d*ck. She is bad and I should feel bad for what I've done. haha. As a person I can't ever say I've been tickled by the thought of hitting her, but I like to roleplay that anyway.
My canon Manshep really sticks it to her with the renegade dialogue options but he never hit her. The thought wouldn't have even crossed his mind. He's not in the habit hitting women (unless they're trying to hit or shoot him first). In fact he's not in the habit of physically assaulting random civilians (unless they are utter scumbags he needs information from or something).

Could make an interesting bit of character development, actually.
A Paragade going into ME3 full Paragon, to try and rally morale, but slowly snapping inside, so s/he does stuff like punch annoying paparazzi on a whim, and lash out easily.
Could be interesting for the roleplaying type of person.
As for me? Depends - if she tries the Chewie Defence one too many times... POW.

Actually...no, it hasn't been tough at all. Because what's-her-name is merely a typical reporter, and I don't go around clocking the reporters I meet. I have something called self-control. It's pretty great.
Not only that, but anyone who goes around socking people who ask them leading questions is a fool. And lacks argumentative skill, as others have already said.

Punching aljilani is like my favorite part of every ME2 play-through. I dont get how or why someone wouldn't do it, she deserved it. I love Bioware for having the balls to let a big tough man like my Shep clock a woman in the face if I so chose, thats some serious gender equality right there. I hope Shep, male or female can punch more people in the form of a Renegade interrupt, aka the AWESOME button. People who treat being a "paragon" like some silly orthodox religion are just missing out on the most fun and rewarding parts of the game. Like I said, its the AWESOME button.
