I didn't hit her as my Shepard is ready to answer tough and uncomfortable questions. Punching a reporter makes Shepard look like an idiot IMHO.
Your questions confuse me so I have to hit you now.
Sounds like an idiot to me.

I want to be interviewing with her and theres a brute in the background charging at her and I just start laughing and she whould probally call me crazy then WHAM brute eats herMisterJB wrote...
My canon Shepard will never punch Al-Jilani. Humilliating her on her own show is much more respectable, impressing and satisfying.

But thats not why Shep punches her. Shep punches her because he/she just doesnt give a damn about her or her questions or any potential consequences. Shep, paragon or renegade or whatever, is one of, if not the, galaxy's best killers; a punch is nothing.

You don't punch someone just for doing their job, even if they're not particularly nice - it's not like she's actively hurting anyone by asking you uncomfortable questions.

Punching aljilani is like my favorite part of every ME2 play-through. I dont get how or why someone wouldn't do it, she deserved it. I love Bioware for having the balls to let a big tough man like my Shep clock a woman in the face if I so chose, thats some serious gender equality right there. I hope Shep, male or female can punch more people in the form of a Renegade interrupt, aka the AWESOME button. People who treat being a "paragon" like some silly orthodox religion are just missing out on the most fun and rewarding parts of the game. Like I said, its the AWESOME button.
No offense, but you're an idiot. She's a REPORTER. That's what they do.

I can't hit a woman. In real life or fake.
I can if it's self defense. But I don't punch guys otherwise either.
It's all about equal treatment.

Still, it's sexism. There's no reason why a woman should be punched any less than a man.Random Jerkface wrote...

Lol at the "I can't punch a woman" comments. You're aware that Shepard frequently kills women? Some of which may be by a melee attack?
Anyway, my Renegades are FemShep, so I only end up punching a woman as a woman regardless.
There is no gender as a soldier on the battlefield. I don't care what sex they are, it's on.
Outside of the battlefield is different. You could call chivalry sexist... but I don't see it that way.

However, I do consider dropping her into one of the keeper's protein vats, the varren pit on Tuchanka, that sort of thing.
On another note, we do have access to that vid of her with an asari don't we ...

The footage does not change.DJStarstryker wrote...
Does NOT punching her change the videos in the Shadow Broker base in ME2 (for those who have that DLC)? Like there's a video of a krogan punching her and one of a volus kicking her in the shin. Just wondering if Commander Shepard doing that makes it popular or something.
Al-Jilani evidently should be getting some hazard pay.

The punching animation is really... bad. It just looks wrong to me.
Shooting her would be nice though.
