1. It's an immense responsibility, and I want to be prepared beyond measure before taking the steps down that road. I'd be ready for the responsibility mentally and psychologically, but difficult to say financially. It's too unclear.
2. The World already has an overpopulation issue. Adoption would be worth considering, though.
3. I don't know if having kids is really for me. I don't have the same desire some may have to be in a 2.3 kids-and-a-dog family. All choices come with a price, and the answer of whether it's worth it or not is dubious at best. The possibility isn't out of the picture, though.

It also depends on my lady. She greatly dislikes kids, but I think that changes when she'll have one.
Mother instincts and all, they say

My wife sees kids all day at work and wasn't really keen on having any of her own.
I love kids, and with time I kinda won her over.

As for me, maybe somewhere down the line. Ideally a girl. As many have said before, it is a big responsibility.
@Tim - No, you're not alone. o_O

I do not. I hate children with a burning passion. Do NOT get me started. D:<
Go ahead, get started. I'm curious as to why you wouldn't want to be.
I'm also curious why anyone wouldwant to be a parent.

heres a question, why does everyone seem to only see children as problems?
because they are. you never know how they might turn out.
they cost money, deprive you of free-time and generally are party-poopers.
i think my mother would have turned out to be some awesome person if she hadn't popped out any kids.

Massive social and financial burdens, with little to no personal gain. Until we genetically modify children to grow tradable resources like wool or ivory, they're rubbish.

Beyond what others have already pointed out, I myself have a medical condition that I wouldn't want to pass on to any children I might have. It's already plagued the previous two generations of my family (that I know of), so I wouldn't want to risk burdening another generation (and perhaps generations beyond that) with it.
