My main canon playthrough I chose Liara over Ash when they confronted me, but I definately admitted that I liked Ash. After seeing how the VS is quite an important part of the story in ME3, seeing as how the VS is a main squaddie and a spectre, I feel it's going to be awkward with Ashley since I romanced Liara in both games, I feel like I'm rubbing it in her face... Anyone else also feel that way?
I think I might just go through ME1 and ME2 and just to save Kaidan.

*PLEASE DON'T POST ANY SPOILERS FROM THE LEAK, ONLY MINOR SPOILERS ARE ALLOWED, AND EVEN WITH MINOR SPOILERS KEEP IT VERY BRIEF AND VAGUE, DON'T GO INTO DETAIL.

I had to put that in caps because every thread i go to, people post spoilers even though the OP specifically said not to.

If Ashley feels jealous that's her problem.

Heh, I remember how awkward it was on my FemShep playthrough romancing Kaidan and having Liara trying to ninja-mance me. I was only ever "neutral" towards her yet Kaidan got the impression my Shep swung that way  So I made it clear by flat-out rejecting her when she brought it up, and it was a little awkward being around her after that. Especially when she hugged Shepard on Illium.

It's silly to think that would be awkward. They're adults. I hope BioWare doesn't go the immature route. If you flirted with someone, big deal. Three years later if someone still feels awkward about that that's some high school stuff.

Same with if you moved on to another love interest or something from one from ME1.  Aside from the initial unpleasantness they should leave it at that.

Haha exactly what I felt, only I learnt to live with the awkardwardness with Liara on my other sheps because she can't die, so she'll be there no matter what. But with Ashley or Kaidan you decide to their fate on virmire and Ashley actually wants to sacrifice herself to restore he family's honor. But I save Ash anyway despite her wished and continue to rub Liara in her face, makes me feel like a jerk. I don't why I'm making such a big deal out of this though...

Nope. After all, you weren't even in a relationship.

I hope Shep's non-romanced squadmates get a chance to be in their relationships of their own tbh.

Yeah I guess you're right about not being in a relationship, but remember how Ashley would constantly show her jealousy towards Liara even when you hadn't really romanced either of them. So since I'll be romancing Liara full time in ME3 she will be even more jealous.

But I agree, I hope some squadmates can be in their own relationships.

Ah no and why should we? Plus they shouldn't hold grudges anyway, this is the army, where you have to be professional, not a loveboat.

There's a difference between being required to do something and actually doing it though.

Yeah I see what you mean, It's been three years they so they should be over it. I guess since shepard died and came back it feels just like tomorrow, but for everyone else it has been years already.

I feel more awkward when Liara huged Shepard on Ilium, considering that when I meet her on Therum she believed Shepard was an allucination, and never I never talked to her on the Normandy.

Shepard is more firendly with her in ME2 than a romanced VS.

Besides, If you think the other way (chose the VS instead Liara) it's even more awkward when you visit Liara's apartment and you see part of your old armor.

Not really.
Since Ashley is dead on mine. Plus, even if she wasn't I still wouldn't be because she is incredibly different to Liara and I have no interest in pursuing the romance storyline with her. I think throughout I could make it clear enough to merely be good friends with one another.
But yes, she's dead, Kaidan isn't. So that kind of solves that I suppose.

Though my 'main' Shepard romanced Tali. In which case I do find the whole encounter with Liara a bit more awkward.

No, because if I romance Liara, VS will always be same gender as Shepard (partly because of this very reason).

I don't think it's going to be aknowledged in the game that you flirted with Ash. I hope I'm wrong
Same with breaking off romances in ME2. It's most likely going to be like it never happened.

I think that both Liara and the VS are mature enough to let it go

Nope, one of them just can't let it go.

Nope. Then again, Kaidan is dead in that playthrough.

I am not sure about Ashley. But it would be ooc for Kaiden and Liara is rather understanding and friendly at the end of LOTSB if you moved on.

Oh man. I found Liara having a display case of my old armor to be exceedingly creepy.

From what I've seen, they hold no grudge against each other. Ashley seems to be the only character who is downright spiteful.
